Bran Castle aka Dracula's Castle, Rasnov Fortress and trekking in Piatra Craiului National Park. The tour starts/ends Brasov. The trek is a medium one, except the part when/if we climb the highest peak of National Park: we spend 2 days in one of the most beautiful mountains of Romania, Piatra Craiului National Park.

This day will be a mixture of hiking and getting to know more about Brasov while we are on the move. It’s not a standard cultural tour, or just a plain hiking tour. It will be a great, active day and you will enjoy it. Beautiful forests, nice views from the top of Tampa mountain, a great walk along the old city. Upon request we can take the lunch at a local restaurant (the meal is not included in the price of the trip). Easy 2 – 3 hours trail, 600-700 m elevation height, on wide paths with no exposure or dangerous cliffs. This trip is suitable for families and any other groups of people that can walk slowly on various terrain structures for about 2 -3 hours Mandatory gear: Light hiking shoes, clothes that suit the outside weather and a rain coat.

Next stop is at the famous Dracula Castle in Bran at the border of Transylvania and Wallachia.

The Unirea Mine is the result of the excavation of 2.9 million m3 of salt deposit that created cavities with gigantic volumes: 14 rooms with a trapezoidal profile of approx. 80,000 sq m. In the Unirea Mine (Salina Slănic Prahova), visitors can decipher the millennial history of the Roman people by admiring the salt bust of Burebista, and in the “Hall of Genesis” they can admire the salt sculptures representing the two great leaders, Decebal and Trajan, surrounded by elements specific to the Dacian and Roman peoples. Visitors can also admire a bas-relief of the great ruler Mihai Viteazu and the bust sculpted in salt of the “star” of Romanian poetry, Mihai Eminescu The beginnings of the history of the salt mine date back to around 1685, the year in which the nobleman Mihail Cantacuzino realized that there was a salt deposit in the Slănic Prahova region and so, wanting to open a mine, he bought the Slănic estate. A unique opportunity to get to know Brasov from the hand of a native Spanish guide. The tour starts outside the walls of Brasov by the walk outside the city walls. We will climb the Black Tower to have a beautiful view of the medieval center with the Black Church in the foreground. We will continue towards the Santa Catalina Gate, the Schei Gate and we will reach the walls where we will have another magnificent view of the city. From here we will enter the city to visit the Black Church, Sforii Street, the Council Square, Republicii Street, ... and we will return by the Central Park admiring its well-tended gardens until Livada Postei, the point where we have started the visit.

Your guide will pick you up early in the morning from your accommodation in Brasov. In about two hours, you will arrive at the lower cable car station on the Transfagarasan road. From here, the only way of going up to Balea lake is by taking the cable car. The route goes from 1200 meters to 2040 meters in 3,7 kilometers. Once you get up, take a deep breath of fresh mountain air and feel free to explore the area. When you're hungry, go inside one of the huts for a tasty lunch. In the end, go back to base by cable car. Continue to the village of Carta, to see a 13th century old gothic monastery. On you way back to Brasov, if there is time, visit the beautiful Fagaras fortress, built in the 14th century. Once you get back to Brasov, your guide will drop you off at your accommodation in Brasov. *Please keep in mind that the cable car can depart with at least 10 people and only in good weather conditions. If you cannot take the cable car due to bad weather, you will be partially refunded.

Departure from Brasov. Visit Rupea Fortress- one of the medieval monuments that best survived the passing of the time in a region that was once in the frontlines of the Ottoman expansion towards Central Europe. Stop in Viscri. Here we visit the fortified church – a UNESCO site, the village blacksmith. Departure to Sighisoara and start a walking tour (aprox 1h30min) in the medieval center. Visit the Clock Tower, the most impressive tower. Next stop is The Vlad Dracul House, the place where Vlad Dracul (the father of Vlad the Impaler) once lived and where Vlad the Impeller was born. The Weapens Collection and the Torture Room is housed at the foot of the Clock Tower and is the same room where prisoners were tortured during the Middle Ages. The Church on the Hill can be reached by climbing the 175 steps of the covered wooden Scholars’ Stairs.
