This tour covers Romania's most important castles: Peles and Bran. On top of this you get to also see the Cantacuzino Castle, the filming place of the Wednesday TV series. The Peles castle is one of the most impressive castles in Europe. It's a modern compound built in the late 19th century that has and astonishing amount of details and decorations. The famous Bran Castle initially served as military defense fortification, then as customs point and ultimately as one of the summer residences of the Romanian royal family. It's a medieval castle with a royal touch, that's also linked to the Dracula legend! At the Cantacuzino Castle you can see the filming place of the famous Nevermore Academy, from the Wednesday series on Netflix. Besides touring the castle you also get free time for souvenirs in the bazaar at the footsteps of the landmark.

Rising from its own ruin, the Marienburg Fortress rises imposingly at Feldioara, on the banks of the Olt, only 20 km from Brașov, on the road to Sighișoara. Its restoration, carried out in 2013-2017, saved the remains of the walls that had survived the last hundred years of abandonment and restored its appearance in the seventeenth century. The strategic position, with visibility over a large area, and the natural advantages have made this place attractive in prehistory. During the archeological researches, the plateau on which the fortress rises revealed vestiges of habitation from the earliest times - Neolithic, Bronze Age, Dacian and Roman period, but especially the Middle Ages.

Your adventure will begin in the morning, when your guide will collect you from your hotel in Brasov. After a brief drive to Zarnesti, you'll arrive at the starting point. A moderate hike through the breathtaking Zarnesti Gorge will lead you to La Table meadow, a key junction for the area's various routes. From there, you'll continue your ascent until you reach Grind refuge, located at 1600 meters above sea level. After getting familiarized with them, we will start cycling to Cristian village. Although this is not the Castle of Dracula, it is a historical monument that stands out for its antiquity, its Gothic architecture, its location on a natural rock of more than 60 meters and its history. Apart from visiting the castle we will know the history of one of the most interesting historical figures of the fifteenth century: Vlad Dracul, the historical character on which the Irish writer Bram Stoker was based to write his famous novel Dracula.

Lake Balea - a glacier lake formed in a cirque (a depression surrounded by high mountains) at an altitude of 2040 metres; it lies on an area of 4,6 hectares (the length of the lake is 360 metres) and its depth is of approximately 11 metres.
