The Varghis Gorge is a protected natural reserve of unique beauty. It was formed by the Varghis river digging into the lime stone, creating impressive high walls and caves. While it is one of the most beautiful gorges in the Eastern Carpathians, along with Bicaz gorge, very few people actually have knowledge of it, which means that it almost never gets crowded. The trail crosses 9 bridges over the river and you have access to 3 caves out of more than 250 that are found here. The abundant flora includes beech, oak, birch, alder, ash, hazelnut and many more. The fauna is represented by various types of wild trout and other fish, small reptiles and amphibians, a wide array of small mammals from mustela family, wild cat, roe deer, wild boar and dozens of species of birds, including the lesser spotted eagle. In ancient times, the bottom part of the Fagaras Mounatins were covered with Oak forest. Now remains "Dumbrava Vadului", where, among the oak trees, we have daffodils (Narcissus stellaris), locally known as coprine. In Fagaras Mountains there is "Mioarelor" galcial lake (2282 m), the highest glacial lake in the Carpathian mountains. In Fagaras Mountains there are 8 of the 14 peaks of the Carpathian mountains that reach the altitude of 2500 m: Moldoveanu (2544 m), Negoiu (2535 m), Coltul Vistei Mari (2527 m), Lespezi (2522 m), Cornu Caltunului (2510 m), Vanatoarea lui Buteanu (2507 m), Hartopu (2506 m) and Dara (2500 m). Here there are over 42 peaks with altitude between 2400 and 2500 m.

We will be bikeride along the villages from the neighborhood of the city Brasov to see some of their attraction as : National Reserve Lempes from Sanpetru , Cismasu Lake from Bod , Fortified Church from Harman . We will also pass through the forests that surround Brasov and we will follow the unpaved roads that connect this historical places . We will also see flocks of sheep brought by shepherds to their pasture as their predecessors did hundreds of years ago .

Wander with us on a beautiful daytrip to one of the most scenic villages in the world: Magura. Our awesome mountain guide will pick you up in the morning from your accommodation in Brasov and take you to Piatra Craiului National Park. It was designated a Protected Area first time in 1938 and it is home to a wide variety of plants and animals. We will pass through Cheile Pisicii, a beautiful forestry road which leads us to Magura village which is entirely part of the National Park, while Pestera is only partially included. This is not a common situation in Romania, as most of the National Parks don’t incorporate human settlements.
