This adventure spans about 4 hours, including a relaxed 30-min drive, an hour uphill hike, quality time at the peak, an easy hour-long descent, and a comfy drive back. After a brief history lesson, we will continue our tour with a fast stretch of paved road towards Vulcan, where we will tackle our first climb of the day, a 4-kilometer twisting road towards the village of Holbav. During the climb, feel free to stop and admire the stunning scenery and the mountains. Once we reach Holbav, we can stop at a local shop for refreshments and exit the village. We will ride along the river, through a picturesque valley, saluting the villagers who are working the land. Here, at a local household, we will enjoy a well-deserved traditional lunch at a local household. In the end, we'll descend back to Vulcan and end the tour in Brasov.

Sighisoara, a monument protected by UNESCO since 1999, included on the world heritage list, boasts a medieval fortress inhabited today. For the first time in 1280, a fortress was built here. In the 14th century under the citadel were established craftsmen organized in strong guilds, which built around the fortress a stone defense wall, 930 meters long and 4 meters high. Rupea Citadel Romanian: Cetatea Rupea, German: Burg Reps, Hungarian: Kőhalmi vár is one of the oldest archaeological sites in Romania, the first signs of human settlements dating from the Paleolithic and early Neolithic. The first documentary attestation dates from 1324 when the Saxons revolted against King Charles I of Hungary and took refuge inside the citadel. According to archaeologists, the current citadel was built on the ruins of a former Dacian defense fort conquered by the Romans. The name of the citadel comes from Latin rupes meaning ston.

With an elliptical shape, the field has a diameter of 1.2-1.4 km and a depth of 2,700 meters, with reserves of nearly 500 years, a real treasure for the Transylvanian economy. This guided day hike brings you closer or into the heart of most beautiful mountains of the area. On each mountain there are a few available hiking routes for all levels from easy, medium to difficult hikes. Bucegi Natural Park - the mountain look almost inaccessible from all sides. There is a ~1000m almost vertical drop all around the mountain. Once you find your way up, through breathtaking valleys or by use of cable car from Busteni/Sinaia, and you are now above 2000m, the flat Plateau is the heart of Bucegi Mnt. It offers us easy walking from Cota 2000 to Babele or The Biddies, rock formations carved by nature. Nearby we take pictures with the well known "Sphynx" - and we find out that the inner energy of the mountain is searched by lots of hikers. Optional route can take us to Omu Peak 2505m and Hut located at the highest altitude in the country. A steep descent can be towards the other side of the mountain down to Bran Castle area, a a quieter route. Overnight routes available

We will hike towards the peak along the ridge line. A June hike reveals us slopes full of Rhododendron - a beautiful red flower. Near the peak, there are impressive rock formations that will delight our views. The Last ascent will be all the way up to the main Ciucas Peak, followed by a descent on the other side to Cabana Ciucas. A good stop for a refreshing drink before our return circuit hike.
