With a depth of more than 3000m it is the deepest inland water body in Africa. Lake Chala Safari Camp is a beautiful private game reserve overlooking Lake Chala. You’ll arrive there and our guide will take you down to the lakeside, through vividly green flora, with the blue, blue lake ahead of you. Its water is incredibly clear and plenty of fish can be seen, but swimming is not recommended. The walk at the lake offers interesting views, but is a bit challenging. It is common to spot lizards, baboons, different species of monkeys and snakes. At Lake Chala Safari Camp there is nice bar at the lake view where you can enjoy your drink after your Lake Chala Day Trip.

Make sure you have an early (and good!) breakfast because we leave market town Moshi at 8:00 am sharp for the hour’s drive to Arusha National Park. Once you arrive, you’ll stretch your legs on an out-of-this-world walking safari, accompanied by a ranger who will guide you through rainforest up to a sparkling waterfall where you’ll be able to spot black and white colobus monkeys going about their day. After a tasty lunch you’ll hop in the Land Cruiser for a game drive that will take you through a wider scope of the park, including the Lakes of Momella and the Ngurduto Crater, and you’ll most likely spot buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, warthogs, zebra and gazelle as well as a host of different bird species. If you’re lucky you’ll catch a glimpse of the shy leopard or elephant. Don’t forget your camera! After the drive, you’ll be driven back to Moshi.

Visit a small market with your host to discover locally grown produce. Learn about the ingredients used in Tanzanian cuisine before taking a tuk tuk 20 min to your host's home. Marissa, her husband William and his mother Shida are a warm and welcoming family who host you in their simple, modest mud house for a cultural and culinary experience. You will help Shida grate coconuts to make fresh coconut milk and prepare ugali, a traditional corn meal dish. Enjoy your meal sitting on benches outdoors with the entire family. Ugali is eaten communal style, with each person picking cake with their hand, rolling it into a ball, and using it to scoop vegetables or stew. A few other dishes you may try are uji (a millet and peanut porridge), beef and green banana stew) and rice with spiced beans. Dishes are cooked in coconut milk and simmered over a wood fire, giving it a distinct and delicious flavor! End your experience by sharing peanut brittle and Shida’s local brew with friends and family.

Marangu is a small town with a great amount of history and ancient traditions. . This day tour has it all: action, tradition and culinary. You will learn all about their history and traditions on this half day excursion. At this place we will visit a small coffee farm, where you will learn about how the coffee is grown, harvested and processed locally. Try your own hand at processing, roasting and preparing a fresh cup of organic coffee. Once you have finished enjoying your coffee break, our guide will then lead you through the coffee and banana plantations to a spectacular Ndoro Waterfalls flowing from the foothills of Kilimanjaro Mountain. Our hike to the base of the waterfall will lead us through lush green landscapes while spotting fauna and flora in the area. Here you have the opportunity to relax and take a refreshing bath in the cold pool of the waterfall and later drive back to Moshi.

All airport transfers are the part of the package, no extra fee is required. THE BEST MONTHS TO CLIMB KILIMANJARO. Normally March, April, and May are the months with long rains and should be avoided. November is usually short rains but it does not often rain all the days so Climbing is possible. The best Months for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro are January, February and also August and September. July can be colder and November to December can be wet. January to February is the warmest months, almost clear of clouds each evening and morning.
