We begin our Perito Moreno Glacier tour by picking you up directly at El Calafate Bus Station in the morning. You’ll then head over to Los Glaciares National Park. Travelling along Ruta 11, we’ll get some fantastic views as you'll be driven along the edge of Argentino lake towards Brazo Rico. You'll get to see some spectacular views of the Perito Moreno Glacier on the way to the Park. After you go inside the National Park, you'll have free time to watch and tour the park's catwalks and viewpoints, all at different heights, which will give you the perfect opportunity to see all the best sides of the glacier. The highlight of this experience is that you'll be free to wander the corners of this UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, you'll head back to El Calafate and be dropped back at the Bus Station.

In a small group, we will head off in a 4×4 vehicle for 9.5 kms, climbing through the Feruglio mountain range to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking Lago Guillermo, where our 4 ½ hour hike begins. This is a whole day excursion very different from the rest in the area. The site is located in the middle steppe just halfway between El Calafate and El Chaltén. Throughout the walk you can see a large number of petrified logs that lie on the surface, some 70 million years old, some with a diameter of 1.20 m. These remains are testimony to ancient times where the weather was very different from today and allowed the support of a large and abundant flora. Occasionally fossil remains of different types of dinosaurs are discovered.

Early in the morning we depart from Calafate. After traveling about 30 km to the east, we will take the Mythical Route 40 bordering, for a large part of our route, the eastern margin of Lake Argentino and the shores of the Santa Cruz River. Then, we will meet the La Leona River, which gives its name to the inn and hotel of the La Estela ranch. There we will make a stop to learn a little more about the history of the La Leona parador and hotel where, whoever wishes, can enjoy a hot infusion with homemade cakes. We will leave for El Chaltén and, after touring the Chorrillo del Salto about 4 km from the town and having lunch in La Tapera, after 45 minutes of moderate walking, we arrive at the Mirador de los Cóndores, a panoramic point from where you can see the main surrounding mountains, the Las Vueltas river valley and the town of El Chaltén.
