This is a very special tour that concentrates in the Serengeti, to follow the Great Migration. You will spend at least 4 nights in the park, usually two in the Central Area (largest concentration of big cats) and two where the Migration is according to the time of the year. We have designed this particular tour so that you finish the safari in the most remote location in the Serengeti, and then fly from there to your next destination. But we can redesign it to return to Arusha by land.

The Machame route is now the most popular ascent route on Mt Kilimanjaro. Compared with the Marangu route, the hiking days on the Machame route are longer, the trail steeper. The scenery is spectacular and the landscape stunning. The Machame route is considered a challenging route and is better suited for more adventurous trekkers and those with some hiking or backpacking experience. The Machame route is scenically beautiful and varied. The Machame route approaches the summit from the southwest. It descends using the Mweka route, rewarding climbers with views of the expansive Shira Plateau, an optional scramble up Lava Tower, a climb up the Great Barranco Wall, and a traverse underneath Kilimanjaro southern ice field.

The West Kilimanjaro plains are a region in northern Tanzania comprising both Maasai community lands and Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs). The region is filled with acacia woodland and open plains that support a remarkable variety of wildlife and spectacular views of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The day hike is a challenge that allows a client to see what kilimanjaro is all about whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery around. This hike is managable especially for people who either don't have enough time or the financial capacity to do the full hike. The trip has beautiful wildlife such as the Monkeys colobus and blue velvet, there is beautiful bird sightings and most importantly the vegetation such as the Eucalyptus trees are not something to be missed. The trip will begin on a pick up at your hotel and drive for about an hour to the Marangu gate which is where we will begin the hike. We will hike to Mandara hut which is about 2700m and on the way we will have the opportunity to see the Maundi crater which you will be able to see the soroundings including Northen Tanzania and Kenya. After having a well packed lunch we will hike back to the park gate where we will begin our drive back to Moshi town.

Furthermore, unlike Marangu route, on Machame route you don’t use the same path to descend as you took to climb up the mountain but instead you come down via the Mweka route, a steep but very pretty descent encompassing inhospitably dry mountain desert and lush lowland forest in a matter of a few hours
