Climbing the 6 days Machame route can be done in a minimum of six days (five nights) on the mountain. With an approximation of 62 km/ 37 miles from gate to gate. It is designed for physically fit people with some hiking experience, but plenty of first time trekker use the route as well and do just fine.

You'll get the chance to game viewing in the park searching for the diverse flora and fauna of the park. There are some 350 different bird species in the park. The park provides sanctuary to a variety of animals such as the gazelle, impala, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, baboon, giraffe, hippo and the famous tree-climbing lions that are unique to the lake.

The 6-day Marangu Route records a low summit success rate of about 50%! Since climbers tend to rush to reach the summit. Skipping one extra acclimatization day can significantly lower the average success rate of 50%. The Coca-Cola Route, which is the only route that uses huts instead of tents as a type of housing, is also known as the Marangu Route. On the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, it is one of the most popular routes.

Approaching Kilimanjaro from the south-west, we take the popular Machame Route, with a total trip time of seven days, this is giving us even more acclimatization time and an even better chance of reaching the summit. Lush rainforest and Alpine moorland characterize the Machame Route, a trek which is challenging, make no mistake, despite the extra time given to acclimatize. You will have a private vehicle to take you to and from the mountain.

Tanzania’s second and the African continents fourth highest mountain towers at an impressive 4566m or 14980ft above the ground just east of the Kilimanjaro region in Arusha National Park. Generally serving as a great warm up (acclimatization) trek for a Kilimanjaro climb, Mt Meru is also a spectacular trek in it’s own right and offers an exciting first day through the park forest (almost like a walking safari) with an armed ranger (shared with other groups) before taking you on the dry alpine zones up to the scree filled peak. Views of Kilimanjaro in the distance are seen on a clear day as well as a fascinating view down into the Meru crater.

This is a budget safari trip going to the famous northern circuit parks the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater & Tarangire using adventurous mobile tents in the wild, you will share this experience with other travelers, in the right season you will see the migration roaming the Serengeti, predators taking aim to their prey, before heading out to descend the Ngorongoro crater which has fantastic landscape & scenery.

You'll pass through a forest reserve on the way to West Kilimanjaro, where you can drive and spot Colobus monkeys among the trees. You begin your hike at 3,500 meters above sea level and proceed through the stunningly untamed Shira Plateau landscape. You'll step out of the vehicle, put on your shoes, and enjoy the sights, sounds, and hues of Tanzania's breathtaking wilderness. When the weather permits, you can see views of Kilimanjaro's northern glaciers and its highest peak, Kibo, while hiking various trails under the guidance of a ranger. The views of the highest free-standing mountain in the world are juxtaposed with the vast plains of the neighboring Amboseli National Park in Kenya and the deep gorge of the Simba River. You will make a brief stop at various observation points along the northern rim of Shira Crater to observe the volcanic cones that dot the surrounding terrain.
