During this experience, guests will visit Rainforest Explorers’ cacao gallery, orchard, and organic farm and sample exotic fruits and sugarcane juice before participating in the chocolate-making process and learning the fascinating tale of its origins. Making your own Mexica chocolate and sweets is a delicious part of the tour’s magic.

This activity will lead to our Sloth Park to start, we will walk trough the rainforest 1.5 to 2 hours inside the trails and you can get to see two and three toes sloths and some poisonous frogs and snakes even birds. Done with the hike we will visit the second section of the the park to get your amazing chocolate coffee and sugar tasting along all the information provided in by our tour guides. Just one hour and thirty minutes from La Fortuna, across the plains of San Carlos, we find this beautiful place, popularly known as "National Park of Water". Surrounded by cloud forests at more than 2000 meters (6560 ft.) above sea level and with an average temperature of 16° to 22°C (60° - 72°F), this is the place where the primary rivers of the northern region of Costa Rica originate. It is categorized as the tenth most important fresh water body on the planet. The Juan Castro Blanco National Park is a good place for bird watching; among the treasures you may find is the spectacular Quetzal (Pharomachrus Mocinno), characteristic for its majestic plumage of colors. March and April are the best months for observing Quetzals. We will enjoy the 3 km (2 mi.) trail for about 2 hours while learning about the characteristics of the cloud forest, as well as the importance of this delightful place for the entire northern region of Costa Rica.
