The most famous attraction in La Fortuna - Arenal Mistico Hanging Bridges. We will start by picking up at your Hotel and then drive for about 20 and 40 minutes to the hanging bridges where we will take a tour of approximately 2 to 2:30 hours through the wonderful tropical rainforest where we will walk for around 3.2 km and pass 16 bridges (10 stable and 6 Pendants) with incredible views. In addition to the impressive views, we will have the opportunity to see various species of flora and fauna such as snakes, sloths, leaf-cutting ants, poisonous frogs, lizards, birds, monkeys, coaties, among others. Our naturalist guides will accompany you carrying their telescope to capture incredible images and videos of the animals, as well as the most interesting information about each of them. Once the tour is finished we would be returning to your Hotels where it could take between 20 and 40 minutes.

We begin the tour by heading to the El Silencio Private Reserve, to get as close to the base of the volcano as possible. Next, we will walk approximately 1 kilometer along a volcanic stone path with a moderate degree of difficulty, until we reach the viewpoint, the closest point to volcano permitted to access. At the viewpoint, our guide will provide relevant information on the formation of the Arenal Volcano, its periods of activity, as well as unpublished details of its first eruption in 1968. Enjoy the excellent views of the Green Lagoon and Lake Arenal. With a little luck, this 1.5 km trail will provide us with the opportunity to see a wide variety of plants and animals that inhabit the rainforest, like toucans, turkeys, orioles, peccaries, snakes, and monkeys. The length of the tour is approximately four hours; from La Fortuna we have to go 5 ½ kilometers to the southeast. We spend 1 ½ hours to get to the rest site of the horses. We will start the tour with a delicious welcome drink prepared with the fresh fruits of the area.
