The 8 day Lemosho variation is the ideal schedule for this route. On the 8 day Lemosho route, the trek from Barranco to Barafu is broken up into two days, allowing for a short day just prior to the summit attempt. This is important because summit day begins very early, around midnight, so climbers are sleep deprived going into the toughest day on the mountain. By having a short day beforehand, climbers can be better rested. The 8 day Lemosho route is highly recommended and used by most prominent Kilimanjaro operators.

Jozani Forest, also known as Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, is the only national park on Zanzibar Island in Tanzania. It is very small (only 50 square kilometres) but a beautiful and tranquil place to visit. It is one of the must-see tours. If so, then basic tent camping can be a superb way for you to enjoy the wonder of the game parks and reserves. On a basic tent camping safari, you will be accompanied by your guide and personal cook who will provide delicious meals for you throughout your journey. Campsites are quite comfortable with stunning views of the surrounding bush, solar-heated showers and eco-friendly toilets, and guards to watch over you at night. Tents, sleeping bags, and cots are provided, so all you will need is your backpack!
