Tucked just this side of the Kenyan border and near the busy city of Arusha lies the little-known jewel of Tanzania, Arusha National Park. At its heart is the 4566m Mount Meru, popular with mountaineers avoiding the too-well-trodden paths of Kilimanjaro. Arusha National Park is less visited than the more famous Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater, but it’s for you if you want a beautiful landscape with an incredible variety of flora and fauna – but fewer people!
Arusha National Park has an awe-inspiring blend of vegetation which includes swamp, grasslands, and montane forest and, of course, the mountain slopes of Meru which are swathed in tropical rainforest. It’s a unique ecosystem that attracts thousands of animals and birds.
Our Forgotten Pearl Day Safari will allow you to get up close and personal with the animals on a walking safari but also lets you take in the landscapes on a glorious game drive.
Tarangire is the least visited of the parks along Tanzania's northern circuit. The park's large elephant population, iconic Baobab trees, and diversity of wildlife make it one of the best parks in the country for taking breathtaking photos or simply basking in the beauty of the world's largest land mammals.
Game drives through Tarangire are particularly thrilling during the dry season when the animals of the park must cluster closer and closer to the Tarangire River. The Tarangire River has water all year round and during the dry season, between July and October, many animals from the surrounding areas come to the river for drinking. This offers a great opportunity to see plenty of animals in one place and to witness the predator-prey relationship in action
Venture into the scenic Arusha National Park for two exciting game drives, visiting the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Explore the exotic wildlife, such as buffalos, elephants, and hippos.

From the main rode is a hike for 45 min so we will recommend that you have a good shoe. On the way to the waterfall, you will walk through the rain forest and field of banana and coffee plantation and the smell of the flowey. Your guide will tell you about the culture of Chagga and show you the flower of love and forgiveness. When you have reached the Materuni waterfall you can go and swim but remember the water is really cold. It makes sense because the water is coming from the glacier of Kilimanjaro. If you like to swim under the waterfall you can tray but the steam from the water is really strong so be careful but we know it is possible. Just have it in your mind that in Materuni you swim at your own risk.
The Rongai Route is the only route that appraoches Kilimanjaro from the north, near the Kenyan border. Rongai’s ascent profile is very similar to that of Marangu. It is one of Kilimanjaro’s easier routes. The climb to the top is gradual and steady. However, unlike Marangu, this route has low crowds and passes through remote wilderness areas. It is probably the only route where seeing wildlife in the first days is possible.
Less crowded because of its remote location the route offers trekkers a unique wilderness experience where it is possible to see large wildlife like antelope, elephant and buffalo. As there is typically less moisture on this side of the mountain you are less likely to encounter rain and have more unclouded views of the peak. While it is flatter, it does not give the climb high sleep low option and therefore recommended to select more days for acclimatization.
The Rongai route is one of the easier routes up Kilimanjaro. Rongai is the only route to approach Kilimanjaro from the north and the descent is via the Marangu Route.Summit night from Kibo Hut is steep and follows the same path taken by the Marangu route which passes Gilman’s Point to Uhuru Peak.
There are several variations; the one described is a longer route taking in Mawenzi Tarn.
Duration: 5 or 6 days
Difficulty: Medium
Scenery: Very good
Traffic: Low
Through Pishon Tours & Safari Company, you will see the fauna and flora, the wildebeest, and more attractions which we have in Tanzania like trees, shrubs etc.
Mount Meru is the fifth highest mountain in Africa At 4,566 m. It is a great mountain to climb and offers spectacular scenery including the view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The Mt Meru ascent passes through many different vegetation zones. The dry forest of the lower region changes to a dense mountain rainforest, which then turns into scrubland. Closer to the summit, vegetation becomes less and less and gives way to alpine terrain.
The mountain is less congested compared to Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Kenya counterparts. No wonder it is absolutely marvelous to enjoy 3 nights and 4 days mount Meru climb in Tanzania.
During the ascent, you might come across large game such as giraffes, buffaloes, baboons, colobus monkeys and antelopes. To be safe, it is obligatory to be accompanied by an armed park ranger on your tour.

Marangu Route, commonly known as the Coca Cola route is more popular because it can be done in fewer days and has permanent sleep huts at the campsites. Summit night from Kibo Hut is steep and passes Gilman’s Point to Uhuru Peak. It is a shorter route with a steeper incline and less time for acclimatization it tends to have a lower summit success rate. This is the only route where the ascent and descent route is shared, thus creating more traffic. Duration: 5 or 6 days Difficulty: Medium Scenery: Good Traffic: High
