Marangu Route 5 Days – Marangu Route is also known as the “Coca Cola” or “tourist” route. It is the easiest and shortest route to the summit. This is also the only route with the comforts of sleeping huts at every campsite with solar lights and comfortable beds. The huts are communal, and the bunks have a sponge mattress and pillow. This route is usually done in 5 days but can be done in 6 days for better acclimatization. The extra day can be spent resting at Horombo or climbing the small peak of Mawenzi.

Rongai route is the easiest climb with the best success rates of 80%, the Rongai route sees both sides of the mountain great scenery, and a wilderness. Rongai route climb is more expensive away from the crowds, using Rongai Route you will see wildlife on Kilimanjaro. The Rongai route climb is gradual, rises very steadily, no steep climbs, ups, and downs. Rongai Route camps are amazing and on the last day before the summit, you have all afternoon to rest and acclimatize, the Rongai route is a lot drier than the other side of the mountain.
