6 DAYS KILIMANJARO CLIMBING VIA MACHAME TOURE “ THE WHISKY ROUTE” Machame is the climbing route which is more difficult route than the Marangu route. The route is known to be the most scenic route of the Kilimanjaro Mountain as it gives the climber an experience of the scenic view. The route is well known due to the success rate of summit for the climbers at it gives a great time for acclimatization on the ascending to the Lover tower and descending to Baranco before heading up to Karanga and the Barafu to the Summit. With this route on second day you will join other climbers from Lemosho and Shira routes before heading to the lover tower up to the summit and descending through the Mweka gate as it is different from the Marangu route, the ascending route for Machame route is not the same as the descending route, as you will be ascending via the Machame route and descending via the Mweka route to Mweka gate. The 8 day Lemosho variation is the ideal schedule for this route. On the 8 day Lemosho route, the trek from Barranco to Barafu is broken up into two days, allowing for a short day just prior to the summit attempt. This is important because summit day begins very early, around midnight, so climbers are sleep deprived going into the toughest day on the mountain. By having a short day beforehand, climbers can be better rested.

The safari will be straight drive to Tarangire National park with picnic lunch proceeding with game drive in the middle of the park and be able to observe the big herds of Elephants. It will also include game viewing to heart of Serengeti national park while enjoying the beautiful sun rises though it’s going.

This is a very special tour that allows you to concentrate most of your time in the Serengeti, to follow the unique spectacle that is the Great Migration. You will be able to spend at least 4 nights in the park, usually two in the Central Area (with the largest concentration of big cats) and the other two where the Migration is according to the time of the year (South, North or West). We have designed this particular tour so that you finish the safari in the most remote location in the Serengeti, and then fly from there to your next destination (Arusha or Zanzibar for example). However, shall you wish not to fly, we will redesign your tour so you do it by land and save the cost of the flight.
