Probably the most famous flowers of the island are the giant Tajinastes (Echium Wildpretii) which bloom in the National Park in May. They only grow at an altitude of 2000m and are up to 3m in height. Also known as the tower of jewels and tajinaste rojo by the locals, this bizarre but beautiful plant is endemic to Tenerife and mainly found in the subalpine zone of Las Cañades de Teide. Come and join us for this fabulous and easy hike. It is 10 km with 250 m of ascent/descent over undulating ground, maximum altitude 2,150 m taking approx 4 1/2 hours with a picnic stop for lunch (which you need to bring with at least 1L of water per person). Pick-ups are approx 9 am returning approx 4 pm

I am Alessandra and my first contact with yoga was when I needed to improve constant pain in the spine, anxiety and stress in 2009. During this period I worked in a nursing home and psychiatric hospital in Brazil. Living and working with mental illness and the aging process for 6 years has made me develop a true passion in seeking quality of life. So I studied Hatha Vinyasa Yoga, Tantra, Herbalism, Astrology, Ayurveda and Reiki. I have specialized in adapting therapeutic practice to all people with the help of knowledge in different natural therapies in order to explore the potentialities in their individualities. I feel that my soul mission is to share my lifestyle; I am a vegan, she practiced mindful consumption and I want to plant the seed of the routine practice of yoga philosophy in her life.

The aboriginal kingdoms of Tenerife, known as menceyatos, were nine distinct territories ruled by indigenous leaders called menceyes before the Spanish conquest in the 15th century. These menceyatos were the regions of Taoro, Tegueste, Tacoronte, Anaga, Güímar, Abona, Adeje, Icod, and Daute. Each menceyato had its own social structure, economy, and culture, with agriculture, livestock, and fishing being the main activities. The Guanches, the indigenous people of Tenerife, practiced a polytheistic religion and lived in cave dwellings, showing a rich culture that blended communal and hierarchical elements.

Important to note that this course is an introduction to diving and does not grant a diver certification. However, if the experience captivates us and we wish to obtain a certification, we have the thrilling possibility to continue and achieve one of the initial levels: Scuba Diver or Open Water.
