On the farm there are more than 15 varieties of aromatic plants scattered over the surface of the plantation. We also plant oats in between our banana trees. This way we manage to create our own ecosystem and be 95% self-sufficient. La Gomera is one of the geologically younger westward Canary Islands. It is an enchanted place where time seems to have stopped. The island features an intricate maze of valleys, gullies and canyons surrounded by basaltic rock formations. La Gomera is home to a unique example of Atlantic cloud forest, called laurisilva. It is a primordial forest with 30-metre-tall trees, evergreens, ferns and mosses. The laurisilva is an ancient, mystical forest capable of inspiring a sense of deep bond with nature and the world that once was.
