This route is linear and easy-to-reach. It starts at Vista do Rei viewpoint, with starting point on the western side of Sete Cidades caldera, from this point at the right side it’s possible to see Caldeira Seca and Sete Cidades lakes and at the left side the western coast of S. Miguel island. After the unpaved path it’s easy to reach Sete Cidades parish with just a turn to the right. This trail runs through Protected Landscape area. Extension: 7,7 km NOTE: a minimum of 2 persons is required.

The tour begins in Ponta Delgada towards Sete Cidades. It includes a few stops at different viewpoints and the chance of visiting the most beautiful and unknown areas of the west and central parts of our island. After a stop at Vista do Rei viewpoint, we will descent the road that leads us into the interior of this valley to visit Sete Cidades parish. After admiring the Church of St. Nicholas, we will continue on our way towards Lagoa, through the South Coast of the Island, to have lunch at a local restaurant. Then, the tour continues towards Lagoa do Fogo, with stop at Caldeira Velha with some time for a visit. If you have accepted the challenge of climbing Pico Mountain, congratulations! With us, the climb will be at your pace with a dedicated Guide. Calm down because we have all day just for you. Meeting at the "Mountain House", if you do not want "transfer included", it is time to check if we all have the proper equipment, protection, food, water and of course, the camera. Our guide will accompany you along a trail, much of it in very irregular volcanic rock, which will require some effort and care. . Reaching the summit, the effort is rewarded by breathtaking, breathtaking landscapes. First the crater, then the last stage: the Piquinho. This, with its 70 m high, will give more "fight" but inevitable to achieve the goal: 2351 m altitude, the highest point of the island of Pico, the Azores and Portugal.
