With this tour you can see the full east side of the island starting on the south until we arrive to the viewpoint of Nossa Senhora da Paz, an amazing view to the coast, the ocean and to the mountains. Then we will make our way to Furnas volcano, where you will get the chance to see one of the places where the volcanic activity is most present and this is where you will be able to relax on the hotsprings of Terra Nostra, and also see and taste the famous "cozido" - the stew that is cooked underground with the heat from the volcano! After lunch, we will go to the first settlement of the island - Povoação - inside of an extinct volcano and then, leaving this beautiful place, we go through Nordeste which is the most eastern point of the Island and known for its pristine gardens and flowers. You will get to have several views over the coast and even see a waterfall. The final stop of this tour will be the local tea plantations - the only one in Europe that produces green & black tea.

This tour allows you to see one of the highlights of São Miguel Island - the village of Furnas, known for its volcanic activity and hotsprings! On this tour we will stop in Santa Iria viewpoint, where you will have an amazing view over the ocean and the cliffs/mountains of the north part of the island. Then, we will stop at the local tea plantations that still produce tea to this day - the only factories in Europe still operating. On our way to Furnas we will stop at Pico do Ferro, an incredible view over Furnas lagoon and then we will stop at "Caldeiras das Furnas", where you will be able to see the volcanic activity at its peak. You will also have the opportunity to bathe and relax in the local thermal hot springs before returning back to the hotel.

Visit the most romantic town in all of Portugal. In Furnas, the combination of hot spring water and fresh spring water await you. You can see inside a volcano, where vegetation and fumaroles compete. Enjoy the Furnas lake shore (small hiking trail can be included) and see how a traditional Portuguese plate is done in Furnas (underground stew – lunch ), take a relaxing thermal pool bath and then finish the day with a cup of tea at the tea factory in Gorreana.

Walking Tour Fogo Lake allows you to discover one of the best lakes in São Miguel Island. This tour starts at 9AM with pick up included at hotels in Ponta Delgada. Our next stop will be the lake surroundings, where the trail begins. It's included a picnic lunch and it's advised to bring comfortable clothes and shoes, swimsuit, towel, water and sun cream.

This is the right way to do the favorite activity of the locals, in the right order exactly as the islanders do on their own holiday evenings, especially in Winter as this experience feels even better under gloomy weather. After pick-up, we head to Furnas with a stop at "Gorreana" tea plantation, and "Pico do Ferro" viewpoint on our way. Once in Furnas, you get to walk amongst the "caldeiras" where the famous "cozido" is cooked under ground, by the breath of the volcano. While your dinner is being prepared relax and enjoy your time at the magical Poça D. Beija hot springs (entrance included). After the bath you will be ready to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant, tasting the most famous island delicacy- the "cozido". Dinner after bath guarantees good digestion and sleep, while the other way around, like most tours do, will not be digestion friendly. Finish your evening enjoying the enchanting geysers under the night starry sky, before our drive back to your accommodation.

This jeep tour will start in the southeastern part of the island, in the volcanic complex of Sete Cidades, visiting Lagoa das Empadadas, Cumeeira Grande; Muro das Nove das Janelas; Sete Cidades village and Vista do Rei viewpoint.
