Imbros gorge is located south of Lefka Ori mountains and take less than 3 hours to cross. The hike starts from Imbros village. I will drop you off at the entrance, then pick you up at the end. Most of the hike is in the shade with a narrow trail that you cannot be lost. There is a small stream which is dry in the summer so it's good to have a sufficient supply of water. Imbros is breathtaking, ideal for nature lovers and wildlife watchers. Its ideal hike for children from 10 years old. After Imbros we will visit Frangokastello beach and stay 2 hours. We will eat in a local restaurant in front of the beach. Alternatively instead of the beach we could do a wine tasting at a winery for an hour. Knossos is the heart of the Minoan civilization, the first civilization in Europe dating from 3000BC. I will transfer you from Chania to Knossos at Heraklio with 1-2 stops for 2.5 hours, visit Knossos for more than an hour, then drive to the archaeological museum and spend another hour inside. Then we will walk at Heraklio pedestrianized center for an hour and visit a few landmarks. We will have lunch for an hour and then drive back to Chania for around 2,5 hours.
