Enjoy one of two journeys to the Samaria gorge with a professional guide. Choose the long option, where you will trek for approximately 6-7 hours or the easy option, where you will hike for around 4.5-5 hours. Both choices will give you time to enjoy lunch in a typical tavern and swimming in the Lybian Sea. Early in the morning we start our excursion from  North parts of Rethymno areas and from different pick up points that provide easy access from all hotels. We inform you by email by sending you the voucher with the pick up point and the time in order to there and meet your bus. You have a telephone number in case of emergency. You will have the opportunity to visit one of the most beautify natural park in the world and spend a day that you remember for ever. The Samaria gorge is the longest one in Europe.   

This is a private tour with a 7-seater van for a maximum 6 guests (price is for 6 persons). In this tour we will visit a winery, a beer and an olive oil factory. All three have high standards of production, marrying the old traditions with modern technology and processing. In each location we will spend around one hour touring the facilities and tasting. We will enjoy stunning views, visit a 5000 year old olive tree and eat in a local restaurant. Optionally we could visit a monastery, Maleme airfield and the WW2 military cemetery. Tour times in each location can be modified depending on the travellers starting time and the date. No tours on weekends or holidays. Locations can be visited 1st April to beginning of November. Tastings are not included in the tour price, around 15 euro per tasting per person.

You can get there on foot from the beach by passing through shallow aquamarine and turquoise waters. Depart Rethymno at approximately 07:45 and travel by bus along the new national road towards the westernmost tip of Crete. Pass the bay of Souda and the former Cretan capital of Chania before your arrival in Kissamos. Upon arrival, climb aboard a boat and cross to Balos Bay at the northernmost tip of the peninsula. Relax on the 1-hour boat trip,and get 2.5 hours at Balos Bay to enjoy the soft white sands and unique blue and green waters of the lagoon. Enjoy approximately 1.5 hours at peace on Gramvousa Island, and then take a 1-hour boat ride back to Kissamos. Upon arrival, continue to Rethymno by bus at the end of the laid-back tour.
