The Machame route is also known as the Whiskey route, given its reputation for being a tough climb, in contrast to the easier Marangu route, which is known as the Coca Cola route. Unlike the gradual incline and hut accommodations found on the Marangu Route, the climbers on Machame hike steeper trails, for longer distances, while sleeping in tents. The Machame Route climb can be done in a minimum of six days (five nights) on the mountain. However, it is most often tackled over seven days (six nights), for a better altitude acclimatization schedule. The trek begins at Machame Gate, located in the southern base of mountain, within its lush, fertile rainforest. The route heads toward the Shira Plateau, before circling along the southern circuit halfway around the mountain, exposing the climber to great views from all angles. The approach to the summit is made from the east, and the descent follows the Mweka trail.

Lemosho route is a premium trek designed for seven to eight days. Climbing through different climate zones its starts on heaths and winds further across alpine meadows to ascend to the artic zone near Uhuru peak. The descent, in turn passes through rainforest. All this make this route scenic on Kilimanjaro. Lemosho offers smoothest acclimatization and highest success rates of 85%, 90% and 95% for 7 and 8 days tours respectively. The total distance covered on lemosho routes are 46 km [ 28.5 miles]

The route takes a minimum of five days but recommended to do six days climb to increase chances to make to the top easily. The Northern Circuit Is The Newest And Longest Route On Mount Kilimanjaro. It Begins In The West At The Londorossi Gate And Follows The Same Path As The Lemosho Route For The First Two Days. After Crossing The Shira Plateau The Path Veers North Near Lava Tower, Following The Longer Northern Circuit Instead Of The More Popular Southern Circuit Via Barranco Valley The Route Circles Around The Quieter Northern Slopes To The East Side Of The Mountain.

The eight day Lemosho route variation is the ideal schedule for this route. On the 8 day Lemosho route, the trek from Barranco to Barafu is broken up into two days, allowing for a short day just prior to the summit attempt. This is important because summit day begins very early, around midnight, so climbers are sleep deprived going into the toughest day on the mountain. By having a short day beforehand, climbers can be better rested. The eight day Lemosho route is highly recommended and used by most prominent Kilimanjaro operators.

This 6 days safari allows you to have a chance of seeing most of Africa's big five. It's an ideal safari for those with limited budget and time, and those who simply love birds. You will start the safari by visiting Tarangire National Park which has great number of bird species,elephants and a chance of seeing lions and other predators.
