During the morning, you will be transferred to the Inca Bridge in Ollantaytambo, an ancient Inca building from which the original pillars still stand. As you ascend, appreciate a panoramic view of the urban centre that has been continuously inhabited since the Inca Empire. Continue the trek to the Cacchicata quarry, a place dedicated to the carving and extraction of stones which were utilised to build Ollantaytambo and other surrounding structures. Observe the tired stones; huge stones that were left on the road that show the magnitude of the constructions that ancient civilisations accomplished. On the way, you can choose to take a one-hour hike to IntiPunku or Sun Gate, an imposing stone door on the top of a mountain from where you have an impossing view of Veronica Mountain.
