The guided tour starts with a visit to one of Malta’s oldest quarries which has been transformed into an attraction for tourists and locals alike and which provides a vivid account of one of Malta’s leading skills – the use of limestone for building purposes, a skill that goes back thousands of years. The magic of Malta’s antiquity will be explained at Hagar Qim, Malta’s main pre-historic UNESCO site, overlooking the wide expanse of the blue Mediterranean and the islet of Filfa. From Hagar Qim you will proceed to Wied iz-Zurrieq where (weather permitting – boat price not included) you can take a boat trip to the Blue Grotto, renowned for its crystal clear waters. After lunch, we drive through local vineyards right up to the idyllic fishing village of Marsaxlokk. You will have time to stroll through the local market set out on its waterfront. Later we proceed to the cave at Ghar Dalam where archaeologists have unearthed ample proof that Malta once formed part of the European landmass.

Join us on this fascinating half-day guided tour of Mdina, Dingli Cliffs, and San Anton Botanical Gardens, carefully designed to make your experience truly memorable. You start by visiting the ancient Medieval city of Mdina, renowned for its opulent palaces and fortifications, medieval and baroque architecture, and ancient heritage, this majestic city; also known as Città Vecchia (The Old City) or Città Notabile (The Noble City) is unquestionably one of the island's most evocative destinations. During this half-day tour, you will also visit Dingli Cliffs, at around 253 meters above sea level these cliffs represent the highest point of the Maltese islands, they propose a majestic sight with truly breathtaking views. You will end your tour with a visit to the gorgeous Botanical Gardens of San Anton which were built in the early 17th century by Grand Master Antoine de Paule.

Price quoted is for a three-hour tour. Clients choose either the North Tour (to see places like Mdina/Rabat, Dingli Cliffs, Mosta Church, Ta' Qali Crafts Village and San Anton Gardens), or the South Tour (Valletta, Marsaxlokk, Birgu and Blue Grotto and Hagar Qim Temples). Sites listed here are only for suggestion purpose. Customers will visit only some of these sites on this 3-hour tour. For tailor-made tours, clients are advised to book one of our longer tours so they can choose to visit any sites depending on the hours they have in mind. Clients can choose to have longer tours at an extra cost. Our driver/guide will take you around and show you Malta's most interesting sites. Clients may request to stop to take pictures along the way any time. Please note that price quoted does not include any entry/admission fees to any place nor any boat trips. Today’s excursion takes us to the central part of Malta, dominated by the medieval fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. The narrow, winding streets, dating back to medieval times, lead to the imposing bastions, commanding a magnificent panorama of the island. On the way there, you will discover different styles of architecture, including Siculo-Norman palaces and other baroque buildings of great historical importance. Time stands still in this ‘silent city’ which is a film-maker’s paradise. Leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate, we stop at the early Christian Catacombs in Rabat before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli. After lunch we will visit the San Anton botanical gardens situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will be able to admire from outside. We shall also spend time at the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali. At the end of the tour, allow us to astound you with Mosta’s majestic dome, one of Europe’s largest.

This is the perfect place to spend a Sunday morning, where you can rub your shoulders with the locals as you browse through the various stalls. We continue our tour with a visit to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting – boat price not included) and the nearby caves. Admire the whole expanse of the blue Mediterranean and the islet of Filfla. Later our guide will help you explore one of Malta’s unspoilt villages. From the main square, the hub of the village with its parish church and band club, you will be led through a maze of winding narrow streets that all have a story to be told.

During this tour you will visit 2 places. Blue Grotto where you will have a chance to do a boat ride for an extra charge and see the fantastic caves and Marsaxlokk fishing village where you can eat a delicious fish lunch or also buy fish and many more items from the market. Market is not available on the 22nd September 2024 since there will be the Village's Feast at Marsaxlokk. We still spend 90 minutes at Marsaxlokk, one can see the celebrations, eat something and look and take pictures of the marvellous boats.

The Co-Cathedral houses one of the most beautiful marble inlaid floors in the world. Going down Republic Street you will walk past the Grand Masters’ Palace (outside view only) and the recently restored St. George’s Square before watching the Malta Experience, an audiovisual show where Malta’s history throughout the centuries is brought back to life.

Only recently opened to the public, Mysterium Fidei is ‘hidden’ away on a quiet corner on St Christopher Street and Strait Street. Visitors often stumble upon our door whilst exploring Valletta. Often, simply curious to see what lies behind the walls of the Monastery, visitors are then immersed into the fascinating history whilst appreciating the architecture and experiencing the quiet serenity of the cloisters. Visitors can see how the nuns lived, in a totally authentic setting. Cloistered nuns lived a life closed off from the outside world so they had to be self sufficient. Even until today the chickens lay eggs and fruit and vegetables are grown in the garden. Built with self sustainability in mind there are seven wells dotted around the monastery. Rainwater is collected from the roofs. Mimi the monastery cat, often welcomes visitors personally and happily walks around listening to the audio tour before finding a sunny spot in the garden providing a popular photo opportunity.
