Today’s guided excursion takes us to the central part of Malta, dominated by the medieval fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. The narrow, winding streets, dating back to medieval times, lead to the imposing bastions, commanding a magnificent panorama of the island. On the way there, you will discover different styles of architecture, including Siculo-Norman palaces and other baroque buildings of great historical importance. Time stands still in this ‘Silent City’ which is a film-maker’s paradise. Leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate, we stop at the early Christian catacombs in Rabat before proceeding to the cliffs at Dingli. After lunch we will visit the San Anton botanical gardens situated near the Presidential Palace, which you will be able to admire from outside. We shall also spend time at the crafts centre at Ta’ Qali. At the end of the tour, allow us to astound you with Mosta’s majestic dome, one of Europe’s largest.

The Three Cities is a collective description of the three fortified cities of Cospicua, Vittoriosa and Senglea. The oldest of the Three Cities is Vittoriosa, which has existed since the Middle Ages. The other two cities, Senglea and Cospicua, were both founded by the Order of the Knights of Saint John in the 16th and 17th centuries respectively. During this half-day tour, you will have the opportunity to appreciate these unique historical fortified cities and admire magnificent churches, traditional piazzas, incredible fortifications, and architectural treasures found all around the Three Cities area, pieces of living history kept alive by hundreds of years of preservation!

If you’ve only got 4 hours in Malta, we promise to make them the best 4 hours possible. That’s because you can choose what you really want to see, taste, experience, learn and discover - this tour’s content is entirely up to you. Do you want to explore Valletta, the capital city, or the labyrinth-style streets of the ancient silent city Mdina? Alternatively, you might want to take in the sights, sounds and smells of Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village. Perhaps you prefer history and would like to visit Malta’s jaw-dropping ancient temples. For sun worshipers we can take you on a 25-minute tour of the sea caves at Blue Grotto, or a walk along Golden Bay, the backdrop used for the blockbuster film Troy. If you’re into films, a visit to Popeye Village is a must. We’d love to take you to see everything but due to time constraints it’s better to contact us when you're booking and we’ll make a few recommendations based on your interests.

The restaurant dance floor rises for the folklore show which features dancers in eighteenth-century costumes who lure you into a jovial story of Maltese history through dance. After the show, the restaurant dance floor will light up just for you so that you too can make history of your own unforgettable evening. Transport is included from Bugibba, Golden Sands, Gzira, Marsaxlokk, Mellieha, Qawra, St. Julian’s, St. Paul’s Bay, Sliema and Valletta to arrive at the restaurant at 19:30hrs. Discover the Grand Harbour area opposite Valletta known as the Three Cities – Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea, where the Knights of St. John first settled in 1530. Driving past Cospicua we reach Vittoriosa for a guided walking tour through the narrow streets in the shade of historic buildings, including the first auberges of the various langues of the Order. At the Vittoriosa waterfront we take a typical harbour boat (dghajsa) for a tour of the colourful harbour creeks. From the Senglea Garden, situated at the tip of the peninsula, enjoy a stunning 360° view of the Grand Harbour, including the impressive Fort Sant Angelo from where Grand Master La Valette led the defence of the island during the Great Siege of 1565.

Mdina, Malta's former capital is situated on a hilltop in the central part of the island and dominates over two - thirds of Malta. It is one of Europe's finest examples of an ancient fortified city, characterized by medieval and baroque architecture. Known by the locals as the " Silent City", it encloses within its walls palaces belonging to Maltese aristocratic families, the majority of which are secondary homes.  Walking through Mdina you will feel as though the city has been frozen in time; its narrow winding streets, majestic palaces, churches and courtyards make this city unique, a must-see during your stay in Malta! Rabat, a suburb of Mdina, is also a historical town with strong religious ties.
