Participants will create a design, tie and dye a high quality silk scarf. You will also get to take home the finished product. Kyo-kanoko-shibori is a tie-dyeing technique used for kimonos and obis. Kiichi Matsuoka (trade name “Kisen”) was certified as a traditional craftsman in the dyeing category of Kyo-kanoko-shibori.
