Discover ancient paths and hidden churches and enjoy the breathtaking views of the “Lefka Ori” At the archaeological site of Aptera, you will be able to admire findings of all periods of inhabitation of this City-State. Then we will descend to Vrisses, a green village with many springs, where we will visit an olive oil factory. The next station is Georgioupolis. A coastal village surrounded with eucalyptus trees and sandy beaches. It is worth seeing the river Almyros in a very scenic environment, where you can enjoy your coffee. We will visit Kournas Lake, where you will admire the unique flora and fauna and the marvelous landscape. Also, small boats can take you for a tour. A few taverns with delicious dishes including fish from the lake are available. The last destination is the famous springs of Argyroupoli, which accept the most visitors. The water mills have now become taverns serving traditional dishes.

We will pick you up early in the morning. After a small stop to Xyloskalo we start hiking. You can walk with your pace, our guide will foloww the last one of the group. At the end og the gorge we will have time to swim in the Lybian sea. Later we will take a boat to Sougia, where our airconditioned bus will drive you at the pick up point.

Pass the bay of Souda and the former Cretan capital of Chania before your arrival in Kissamos. Upon arrival, climb aboard a boat and cross to Balos Bay at the northernmost tip of the peninsula. Relax on the 1-hour boat trip,and get 2.5 hours at Balos Bay to enjoy the soft white sands and unique blue and green waters of the lagoon. Enjoy approximately 1.5 hours at peace on Gramvousa Island, and then take a 1-hour boat ride back to Kissamos. Upon arrival, continue to Rethymno by bus at the end of the laid-back tour.

If you are looking for a light hike combining a beach or winery, this is the perfect tour for you! Imbros gorge is located south of Lefka Ori mountains and take less than 3 hours to cross. The hike starts from Imbros village. I will drop you off at the entrance, then pick you up at the end. Most of the hike is in the shade with a narrow trail that you cannot be lost. There is a small stream which is dry in the summer so it's good to have a sufficient supply of water. Imbros gorge is a small version of Samaria gorge. Imbros is breathtaking, ideal for nature lovers and wildlife watchers. Being a dad, I believe its the best hike for children from 10 years old. After Imbros we will visit Frangokastello beach and stay 2 hours. If you wish you could eat in the local restaurant in front of the beach. Alternatively instead of the beach we could do a wine tasting at a winery for an hour. We could make a final optional visit to an oil factory for 30 minutes.

We start this tour by doing various sightseeing stops, to see the valleys and villages of Mainland Rethymno, a prefecture east of Chania Region. After a lovely drive through one of Rethymno’s most beautiful gorges, we finally reach the Monastery of Arkadi with huge historical & Archaeological significance. Free time is given to explore the artefacts of the monastery, pray and meditate, as well as gather in the gunpowder room and learn about the history of self- committed suicide of monks, women and warriors during the Ottoman Rule of the island. Margarites Village is famous worldwide for the many art workshops and handmade crafts artists that reside in the village, owning their own shops and producing souvenirs of the highest quality. We continue to visit a unique underground cave with huge historical significance. We stand in awe admiring the numerous stalactites and stalagmites and learning about the history of the Cave, on the Foothills of Mount Ida (Psiloritis Mountain).
