This is a private tour with a 7-seater van for a maximum 6 guests (price is for 6 persons). We will drive through spectacular natural scenery, inside Therisso gorge leading to the foot of the White Mountains, where the restaurant is located. It’s not only a nature experience through the gorge but also a cultural one as we will visit a small Byzantine church and the lunch at the end is an experience by itself. On the way back we drive by the side of mountain over Chania with panoramic view of the White Mountains, Chania and Souda port. All food is cooked in wood oven, from bread to the local Cretan and Greek recipes. You will taste a range of Cretan dishes in small plates, with home-made organic wine. Take a 60 min brake admiring a stone fountain, springs, chapels and churches with wonderful murals. Our next stop gives you the chance to experience Matala, a small village where in the 60s a group of backpacking hippies came from the four corners of the earth to find ready-made homes in the caves, express themselves, enjoy free love and create. The feeling of freedom, the beautiful beach, the welcoming bay and the azure blue waters form the ideal hippie scene. Unforgettable panoramic sights, the unique Mediterranean landscape and swimming in turquoise clean sea will be the most exciting memories of your holiday on the island! Along the way back, we make a stop at Lake Kournas, a popular tourist destination with many shops and tavernas where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the White Mountains reflected in the waters.

If you are looking for a light hike combining a beach or winery, this is the perfect tour for you! Imbros gorge is located south of Lefka Ori mountains and take less than 3 hours to cross. The hike starts from Imbros village. I will drop you off at the entrance, then pick you up at the end. Most of the hike is in the shade with a narrow trail that you cannot be lost. There is a small stream which is dry in the summer so it's good to have a sufficient supply of water. Imbros gorge is a small version of Samaria gorge. Imbros is breathtaking, ideal for nature lovers and wildlife watchers. Being a dad, I believe its the best hike for children from 10 years old. After Imbros we will visit Frangokastello beach and stay 2 hours. If you wish you could eat in the local restaurant in front of the beach. Alternatively instead of the beach we could do a wine tasting at a winery for an hour. We could make a final optional visit to an oil factory for 30 minutes.

Crete has an uncountable amount of gorges. Some famous-like Samaria- some unknown by tourist crowds, but not less impressive! Al the gorges have their own charms and difficulty levels. We would like to take you to the aria of Kissamos to the gorge of Polyrinnia. FLORA and FAUNA In the gorge you will meet a lot of trees such as, olive, plane, chestnut and a lot of species. We are mostly lucky to see the Griffons flying above our heads.
