Despite the famous names here (such as Chanel and Louis Vuitton) this atmospheric place is still dominated by small family run places (these I call the SIPs - Small Independent Producers). We will visit 3 châteaux of contrasting terroirs and styles. I am an insider here. My partner makes Grand Cru classé wine here too so this will be an additional stop. I will delight in sharing with you the key sites and the gossip! We will have time to visit the picturesque St Emilion village founded in the 9th century (if you like instead of a 3rd wine château there is an underground monolithic church organised by the Tourist office). We will visit the small neighbouring appellation of Pomerol too where the iconic Petrus is located. Lots to see, taste and great passionate people to meet in my home town!

Taste the worldwide famous wines of Saint Emilion on this small-group tour and wander the streets of the medieval village, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will try up to 4 wines on this morning tour! It is a great introduction to Saint-Emilion vineyard. Saint Emilion is a quaint, charming little village. This tour includes a 1h guided tour of the town, however, we will not be able to fully explore everywhere, as we have strict appointments at each chateau. If you wish to stay longer in the village, you can take a train back to Bordeaux after the tour by your own means. For any further information about this, please feel free to contact us. Perfect to get back to Bordeaux just in time for lunch.

If you wish, you can take the wheel of your 2CV on a small country road! * * You need to have a valid driving license with you. ** Each 2CV can take a maximum of 3 people (plus the chauffeur). If you book for 2 people you will have one 2CV. If you book for 6 people you will have two 2CVs, etc. When there are several 2CVs, we drive in convoy.

Depart from Bordeaux Visit Dordogne & the Perigord – the most beautiful region in France! Discover 12th century fortified castles and charming medieval fortified villages scattered along the lazy weaving river. From Bordeaux to Dordogne & the Perigord; we’ll take the autoroute - its a 2 hour+ ride. On our way we’ll drive through Les Eyzies-de-Tayac. This is where they found the first Cro Magnon remains! Les Eyzies is also home to the National Prehistory museum. Sarlat- la-Caneda is the capital of Dordogne – a lovely medieval city with cobble stone streets and lots of 11th century buildings. This would be a good place to stop for lunch, and a little shopping if you like. We’ll visit Domme, a fortified hilltop village with magnificent panoramic views, and La Roque-Gageac charming medieval village built down close to the river. Then we'll drive up to the Castelnaud-La Chapelle Castle, followed by the Marqueyssac Gardens, and the Beynac Castle, before returning to Bordeaux.
