After a wine tasting of local Melnik Shiroka Melnishka varieties, we set off on a short and scenic hike (about 45 minutes) through the sand cliffs to the stunning Rozhen Monastery, perched above the valley with views that stretch to Greece, You’ll explore the peaceful grounds and centuries-old frescoes. This tour is a great opportunity to enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Bulgaria-Pirin natural park, part of the UNESCO World Heritage list. In return for the relatively easy hike, you will admire some of Banderishki Lakes and will be able to see from below the highest pike of the mountain- Vihren. When we are done with the hike, we will go down to the biggest ski resort in Bulgaria- Bansko, where you will have the chance to try a very nice traditional Bulgarian lunch. An English-speaking guide will pick you up from the meeting point in Sofia at 9:00AM and, after about a 2-hours drive with various landscapes to admire along the way, you will reach the Serbian border. After crossing the border you will go the nearby town of Bosilegrad (the former Yugoslavia's main state) before you cross back over the border with Bulgaria and head for Northern Macedonia. After another short drive, you will arrive at the beautiful Monastery of Osogovo – an incredibly powerful place in the hills from the 12th Century, which was later turned into a mosque by the Ottomans, and then again converted into a church. This place is very scenic and peaceful - take time to go for a walk around the area. Afterwards, you will have lunch in a nice restaurant with good Macedonian grill (meat or fish) and Skopsko beer, of course. Please note that the total driving time is around 5 hours.

Perched high in the vicinity – from 2535 to 2095 m, they cascade down and flow into each other. The sun shines and plays in their blue, crystal-clear waters, but in the shadows of the cirques, the snow remains all year round. 3.30 pm arriving at the complex “Kotva” , the biggest SPA place in the town with a great view to the mountain. . After the hiking, we will immerse in the warmest mineral spring to relax the body. See the only natural geyser in Bulgaria. The last natural beauty we will see after, a short walk is the highest waterfall in the region - Goritsa waterfall 5.00 pm departing for Sofia. During the 5-6 hours trip, you will see really amazing places and landmarks, starting from our meeting point St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, then going by car/van to the breathtaking, 186-metre tall TV tower - Kopitoto ("The Hoof"), situated on top of Vitosha mountain at 1,348 m altitude. You will have unique opportunity to walk around the cliff and take stunning pictures of Sofia from the TOP :)! Next stop will be the popular UNESCO heritage - about 900 years old - Boyana Church. After the visit we go to a very nice traditional Bulgarian restaurant. When we finish our lunch (not included) we will go to another amazing place in the nature - Pancharevo lake and the hot spring mineral pools there :)! Regardless of the weather you will have the pleasure to dip yourself in the hot mineral waters in a outdoor swimming pool with a magnificent view of the lake :)! We will spend 1-2 hours there and then we will bring you back to the starting point in Sofia - St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral :)!
