On this spectacular horseback riding day tour in Mendoza, we will start by driving to the base of the Mountains of Cordon del Plata Park, around 80km southwest of Mendoza. On the way, the route offers superb views of the highest mountains, El Plata and the imposing Tupungato volcano. The Ranch House is located at the foot of the Cordon del Plata mountain range and at the heart of the Natural Reserve of the same name.  When we arrive, authentic gauchos will be waiting for us ready to take us further into the mountains on horseback, a fantastic way to explore the valleys and towering mountains of the Central Andes of Mendoza.

Located 140Km away from the city of Mendoza (86 miles), the Uco Valley is a “must go” of any visit to Mendoza. A perfect day in Mendoza, you will visit a traditional winery and an industrial winery, and stop at an olive oil factory for some sampling on this guided tour. Taste three wines in each winery and every product that is produced in the olive oil factory. Then visit the old winery, restored in the Renaissance-style. See the cellar and learn the process of making sparkling wine. Visit the museum with the cultural heritage in Mendoza. Finish the tour with a steps course lunch or dinner.

Heading east 20 minutes from Mendoza city is one of the oldest wine regions in Mendoza with many aged (and decaying) adobe buildings and old vineyards intermingled with olive trees. Maipú, a gem of a region steeped in rich wine making heritage and tradition is also famous for the excellent Olive Oil it produces. Here you will find over 100 year old vines and Olive trees planted together by the Italian immigrants that settled in the region. It possesses a rustic charm that is very different to the modern wine regions of the Uco Valley and Luján de Cuyo. Hi, I'm Fran from Mr. Winery. We want you to live Mendoza as a local: unique wines and flavors prepared for you. Start your experience with a private chauffeur who will pick you up directly from your accommodation and take you to the planned holds for the day. You will tour the corners of the Los Toneles Winery while enjoying a careful selection of wines from the renowned Mosquita Muerta Wines line, where each glass reflects the creativity and character that distinguish the winery. Then the driver will take you to Saffron, where you will live an unforgettable gastronomic experience that combines the best of Argentine cuisine with a contemporary touch. They will enjoy the 3-step “Little Walk” menu, made with local and seasonal ingredients that achieve harmony between tradition and modernity. Departing early from Mendoza city, we will take the road following the Mendoza River up to Potrerillos and stop at Uspallata, a small mountain town for coffee and mid-morning brunch. We continue up the mountain to almost the border of Chile and take a short walk around Aconcagua National Park the highest peak outside of the Himalayas. We stop for a quick visit at Puente del Inca, returning to Uspallata for a lunch with all the trimming before returning to the city. I propose to explore together on an unforgettable tour the three mountain ranges of Mendoza: the Precordillera, El Cordón del Plata and Los Andes. Each one with unique characteristics and colors. We will stop at an incredible high viewpoint overlooking Lake Potrerillos. We will visit the colorful Puente del Inca and the south face of the majestic Aconcagua mountain, the highest on the entire American continent. We will have lunch at a traditional Uspallata restaurant specialized in BBQ.

The tour consists of a tour through the high mountains, in a group car and with a driver specifically designated for the client, who will not only be the one who takes them but also who accompanies them and helps them learn, from their experience, the route traveled. We will visit Potrerillos, Puente del Inca and Aconcagua; Lunch will take place in places close to these points and finally you will attend Entre Dos, an alfajores factory where you can have a delicious mid-afternoon thanks to its typical alfajores. The itinerary will be put together with schedules adjusted to your liking and can be modified if desired with recommendations that the client makes to us. The visit to Bodega Bombal begins in front of its vineyards, with an introduction to the terroir that gives rise to its wines. Then you will tour its facilities and get to know the elaboration process, ending with a tasting to appreciate the essence and character of the winery. Then you will visit the Pasrai Olive Tree, a space that fuses history, passion and local products of first quality. You will discover artisan olive oil, from the care of olive trees to the extraction of its most authentic flavors. Finally, they will arrive at Bodega Esencia 1870, where they will enjoy a 4-step Creole menu accompanied by a pairing of young wines from the house.

We started at 7:00 a.m. looking for passengers at the hotels in the city of Mendoza, and it took us approximately 45 minutes to look for them all. We travel through Mendoza along Route 40 towards the south. We will travel for 3 hours from the time we leave Mendoza until we arrive in San Rafael. There the excursion takes place, visiting the City of San Rafael, the historical area known as Villa 25 de Mayo, the incredible geological formation of the Atuel Canyon and the Valle Grande reservoir/dam (the most important of the Atuel River). At this last point you have free time to take a catamaran or rafting ride or have lunch (both optional activities at an extra cost).

We fish on a fast moving river stream, teeming with rainbow and brown trout. This excursion takes you to the most beautiful, isolated valleys with private rivers. This excursion is perfect for beginners and enthusiasts. We start with your pick up at your hotel in Mendoza and we will head towards a mountain ranch in Uco Valley. We fish trout all day watched by desert fox, distant puma and condors and at 2pm we have a barbecue lunch with beef, salads and fine wines. We resume fishing in the afternoon and return to Mendoza City at 6pm. Transport with guide is included, as are snacks, lunch and drinks.  All fishing equipment is supplied.
