Musi-oa-Tunya National Park is a wildlife sanctuary on the banks of the Zambezi River and it is the only part among the 19 in Zambia which is fenced. It is 20 kms square, and gives clients the opportunity to view and photograph animals at close range. It boasts 3 white rhino, various antelope, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, kudu, waterbuck, warthog and zebra. There is beautiful riverine vegetation and stunning views across the Zambezi River. It is also possible to see Old Drift where the settlers lived before 1904
After the Museum tour clients will do a quick city tour of Livingstone with a Commentary while driving slowly explaining the Historical tour of Livingstone. Stopping at major Historical Buildings and delegates are free to take pictures. The town of Livingstone was moved from Old Drift in 1905 when it was decided that a location on Constitution Hill would be healthier than one on the River. The town was carefully planned with wide streets, avenues of beautiful trees, buildings with high ceilings and mosquito-netted verandahs.
Clients are taken to view the famous Curio market which is a bustling colourful market where the local Zambians come to shop. The market sells everything from bright chitenge (local fabric), bags, curios made from different types of trees, copper bracelets, Wall clocks, African Maps using the Big 5 animals etc. This Market is situated in a small park in the centre of town. After the tour clients are transferred back to hotel.
For those Clients who have limited time, and mainly wish to focus on seeing the magnificent White Rhinos then this is the Tour for them... We take the scenic route in the National park alongside the banks of the River Zambezi and see what animals nature provides is with. Then the concentration is on tracking the White Rhinos , with the help of the Rangers, and getting up close and personal ( within a safe environment ) to get fantastic pictures of these remarkable Rhinos. We then fast track our Clients back along the main tarmac road outside of the Park and back to their accomodation.
The Chobe Day Trip picks up from 07hours from Livingstone - destination Chobe National Park in Botswana. If you are coming from Livingstone, you will travel to the Kazungula Bridge and then across to Kasane. If you are coming from Victoria Falls, you will be transferred by vehicle to the Kazungula Border which is the border post between Zimbabwe and Botswana - a distance of 70km - here your Botswana Guide will meet you. Start either with a Game drive, lunch then River safari cruise or the other way round.
