You will have a local knowledgeable guide who can teach you about our area. All guides are certified in emergency rescues and will keep you safe during your slot canyon hike. The drive to the trailhead is a 4x4 dirt scenic road, all guides are equipped with proper vehicles. Via ferrate represent a major attraction for climbers and hikers in Europe and around the world. There are only a handful in the US and we designed and constructed a unique one just outside Zion National Park. Shorty Town is particularly special because it's located in a remote area and we limit the number of visitors so it's rare to see others outside your trip group. If you already have some experience climbing via ferrata, don’t hesitate to book this trip. If this is your first time, don't count yourself out. We love introducing via ferrata to first-timers! Our professionally accredited guides have been trained by certified educators to facilitate your technical introduction. Unlike rock climbing, there is little technical skill needed to climb a via ferrata. This is a one-of-a-kind experience on the only known modern Italian-style via ferrata in the United States. Come enjoy the views of Oak Creek Canyon and Eye of the Needle's™ waterfall - something most will never see.

The entrance to Rock Canyon is a thrilling one. Skirting the east border of Zion National Park, we take you through the dune-like area known as Elephant Alcove, complete with plenty of off-road driving. Once at the trailhead, Rock Canyon offers a delightful experience with four rappels, including a stunning 110-foot descent into a captivating alcove. As you approach the East Fork, the canyon turns into a lush scene with cottonwood trees and grasses. A small, moderate hike out brings you right back to your vehicle.
