After an amazing 15 to 20 minute Jeep ride, walk through the 1/2 mile slot canyon Peekaboo. Peekaboo is one of southern Utah's best known slot canyon. Walk through this narrow canyon with high sandstone walls on both sides of you. You will get to see how the Native American's that lived in this area used the canyon as you can look at their Moqui steps that they created to read high up area's on the cliff walls. Travel in our off-road Can Am Defenders driven by our experienced guides to the Coal Hollow Slot Canyon. This tour is a great tour for young families and beginning canyoneers. After arriving at the canyon we will have a 1/2 mile steep hike. We will then Rappel through the slot canyon via 4 rappels. This will be the high-light of your vacation! First we wind through the pine forest reaching a stunning view of Checkerboard Mesa. Next onto a rugged descent of several hundred feet into Jolley Gulch where we make our second stop. Here you can take an optional two minute unguided hike to see a top down view of the Jolley Gulch slot canyon that reaches 200 feet down into its narrow canyon walls. We then climb our way out, crossing the the river bed several times as we work our way back on top of the Ponderosa plateau and back home.

Once at the canyon's mouth, the hike begins. The red canyon walls stretch over 100 -feet high on either side, with a gap of only 6-10 feet between the walls to hike through. Led by a guide and local expert, the tour continues on foot through the canyon while learning about Native American history and geographical information.
