Before entering the Canyon we stop for lunch at the famous Cameron Trading post, then off to the East entrance, where we explore 4 points of interest to entirely take the day in, finally exiting at the south entrance. We take the the time to walk for an hour along the Rim path at the last destination, in Grand Canyon Village.

During this tour, we will discuss the many interesting theories of how the wood came to be petrified, as well as the amazing exposed strata of the painted desert known as the Chinle Formation. We will also go over the rich native history in the area, as we walk amongst the ancient lands The day starts out in Sedona and travels within Oak Creek Canyon and pass's through Flagstaff. Before visiting the the park, we will adventure through Walnut Canyon National Monument (another fantastic view to take in!) which is full of some of the best preserved Native cliff dwellings in the southwest.
