Float down the Lower Salt River on a guided flatwater rafting trip and discover a scenic and relaxing desert oasis just outside Phoenix and Scottsdale. Swim, play, or just relax on the river and soak in the scenery. This is a family-friendly activity with options to please everyone. A little paddling is required, but your guide will steer the boat and provide fascinating information about the surrounding Sonoran Desert. A reliable source of water, the Salt River attracts a variety of wildlife, making it common for us to enjoy close encounters with animals in their natural habitat Tours take about four hours including the drive to/from the river and the duration of the tour. Bottled water and snacks, raft/paddles, a life jacket, dry bags, round-trip transportation and National Forest entry fees are included in this trip. Tour is limited to a maximum of 12 travelers. You may be taken to a variety of stops throughout this tour such as the Chapel of the Holy Cross, Tlaquepaque, or Bell Rock Vista. The private tour allows you to choose the sites that you most want to see, such as Native American cliff dwelling ruins, local vineyards, and more. You can add a self-guided hike if you would like to get closer to the red rock scenery. We will plan an itinerary with you, that will fill your time in Sedona and make a memorable personalized day. The historic and scenic Bradshaw Mountains are one of the richest gold-filled mountain ranges in the entire country, creating the perfect setting for our Gold Rush Hiking and Gold Panning Tour. Our tours create a scenic and educational journey amidst some of the most rugged landscapes Arizona has to offer, with opportunities to see giant saguaro cacti and abundant desert wildlife. You will be accompanied by a guide with vast knowledge of the local mining history and plant and animal life. The tour will begin with a scenic, moderately difficult hike from our property down to the Agua Fria River. The hike offers incredible views and plenty of opportunities for photos. Once at the river, we will spend some time panning for gold and learning about the history of gold mining here in the Bradshaw Mountains. You are welcome to keep your findings! We will then finish the tour out by making the hike back up the Agua Fria River canyon.

Escape the daytime desert heatwaves with this unique hiking adventure in the Sonoran Desert. We will stop for beautiful views of the city and to observe and discuss the varying plants and animals the Arizona desert! South Mountain contains many trails, allowing us to customize the difficulty for each trip. The typical route is moderately difficult but there are less strenuous options available.
