Daily Princess Islands Tour ( Büyükada and Heybeliada Islands ) Dear Guests, Princess Islands consist of nine islands, with five of them having permanent settlements and four without any settlement. However, during our tour, we will be visiting two of these islands. Princess Islands tour. After an aproximetly 1 hour pleasant boat journey, we reach our first destination, Heybeliada, (which may sometimes be a different island). Heybeliada is the second-largest among the islands but the greenest. With our guide, we have about 1 hour of free time. Later, we continue our tour and head to Büyükada. After our guide provides necessary explanations, we take a break for lunch, with the excellent presentation of Turkish dishes. Free time given after lunch, you can explore the islands or savor local flavors. In addition to its 1500-year history, it is full of structures made of spolia (Medusa head, weeping or sweating column) and many other structures brought from different dates and different places. In addition to historical information, we will also learn myths and legends. Recently, the 1963 Sean Connery's 007 James Bond movie & the 2016 Inferno movie, adapted from Dan Brown's book Inferno and starring Tom Hanks, were shot here. Rather than having a proper meal, we prefer to take you on a local food adventure at the backstreets of Istanbul! We will start in Karakoy with sampling some local foods and talk about the district, then we will take a ferry to the Asian side of Istanbul, Kadikoy and have foods and drinks with locals. During our tour we will sample at least 10 local dishes and some local beverages.
