After retiring from banking, I discovered the arts of calligraphy and seal carving, which gradually transformed my life. My work has been recognized with prestigious awards at the Seoul Women's Craft Exhibition and the KT Corporate Competition. For the past 18 years, I've been teaching calligraphy at a women's professional education institute supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Since January 2018, I've had the privilege of introducing Hangul and Korean traditional culture to over 3,000 international visitors at my studio in Insadong. I also conduct traditional culture workshops for international corporations. I published "The Strength of Calligraphy" in 2018 and "Hello World!" in 2024. About a 1-hour drive from Seoul, we will arrive at Imjingak Park. The Imjingak park, located at 50km northwest of Seoul, was built for 5 million people who had lost their homes. Major facilities include the North Hall where you can get a view of the North Korean lifestyle. Imjingak Park was built in 1972 with the hope that someday unification would be possible. Through this park, visitors can see over 400 photos and documents showing the stark reality of North Korea. The next place is Odusan Unification Observatory, this observatory is located on the northernmost ceasefire line of the western front where the Hangang river and Imjingang river meet.

Korean War was stopped on 27th of July 1953 after signing armistice agreement, since then, DMZ buffer zone was drawn to prevent any kind of fight from happening. This tour allows you to understand what happened after Korean War, from 1950s to present days. It is a DMZ tour but we don't get to go inside the DMZ, DMZ is the border and heavily minded area, we go into the military zone which is outside the DMZ and visit 3rd infiltration tunnel dug by North Korea and observatory to see and understand the DMZ and division. By the way, this is DMZ tour not JSA, JSA is the place where the armistice was signed and where the president of the USA went to shake his hand with the Leader of North Korea in 2019, this specific tour, please look for JSA tour.
