The tour starts off with a visit to Pietermaritzburg, the capital of KwaZulu Natal. There we will stop by Pietermaritzburg's City Hall, which claims to be the largest brick building in the southern hemisphere. There we will visit the Gandhi statue also before we head towards the Drakensberg mountains. Kamberg Cave Art is a 90 minute walk and hike from the base camp. This tour is for the physically fit. The tour starts off with a short visit to Pietermaritzburg, the capital of KwaZulu Natal. We then head towards the Giants Castle Reserve in Drakensberg Mountain range to visit the cave paintings. Access to the caves requires a 40 minute leisurely walk along a trail. After the guided tour at the caves, we head to Howick falls before visiting the Nelson Mandela Capture Site Sculpture and Apartheid museum.

The battles of Isandlwana and Rorke's drift were fought by the Zulu army and the British army in Zulkuland. Both battles were fought on 22 January 1879, the Zulu being victorious on Isandlwana whilst the British were victorious on Rorke.s Drift. The 2 battles are famous worldwide and people come from all over the world to witness where these battles were fought. Our local guide will narate the full stories to you whilst also walking you through the exact spots where these battles were fought. You will also see some graves and monuments as well as visit the museums where the history around these 2 battles is being preserved.

Over the next two days, we will explore the pristine wildernesses of the Zulu Kingdom. Our first stop is Lake St Lucia — the largest estuary in Africa for a 2 hour boat cruise along the lakes ecosystems which is renowned for large hippo pods as well crocodile, kingfisher and fish eagles. Next up is the reserve that saved the southern white rhino from extinction. Start with the iMfolozi side which is typified by the open plains. As the sun begins to set we head into the hilly Hluhluwe side where we will track rhinoceros and other plains game. Check into our overnight accommodation before enjoying dinner at Ngweni Railroad Brewery & Cafe. Day two is all about predators! Head to Manyoni, meet your ranger and jump into an open safari 4x4. Go on a 2 hour game drive tracking the big cats. Stop at a scenic spot for breakfast before continuing on your game drive tracking wildlife like giraffe, elephant and rhino. At 10h00 we will make our way back to Durban via Zamimpilo Community Market.

The Inanda Heritage Tour starts at the Inanda township, and takes visitors into the Ohlange Institute, which was established by Rev. John Dube, who was also the first president of the African National Congress in 1901. The Ohlange Institute is the historical site where former president Dr. Nelson Mandela cast his vote in 1994. The trail includes a visit to the Phoenix Settlement, established in 1904 by Gandhi. Ghandi’s home stands in the settlement, fully restored, and has been named as a national monument. The Inanda Seminary, established in 1869 by the missionary Mary Edwards, is one of the oldest African private schools for girls, and has recently undergone a complete restoration, along the route is Ebuhleni village, the origin of the Shembe religion. The Shembe church was founded in the village about one hundred years ago, and today has over two million followers.

We will visit a traditional Zulu home at Phezulu for a display of Tribal dancing to pounding drums, and a good opportunity to learn about the proud Zulu nation and their age old customs.
