At 3 240 meters above sea level it can get a tad icy so wrap yourself in one of our authentic Basotho Blankets which is yours for the day. Our first stop is Himeville, at the base of the mountain, where you’ll climb into a rugged 4x4. Time to embark on the steep climb up the scenic and daunting Sani Pass. Get your passport stamped at the border and head into no-mans-land which connects South Africa to Lesotho. Once you enter into Lesotho your guide will introduce you to a Basotho village before a bucketlist lunch (own cost) at Africa’s highest pub. Time to head down the mountain for your drive back to Durban. TRAVEL VISA — Travellers are required to check whether they require a travel visa to enter Lesotho. Isimangaliso Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park is South Africa's 3rd largest protected area with 280km of a beautiful coastline. You will enjoy a 2 hour guided boat ride where you will see hippo's, crocodiles and the fish eagle. The Emdoneni Wild Cat Sanctuary specialises in the rehabilitant of wild cats back into the wild. You will get to see cheetahs, wild cats and serval and caracal.

On this full day tour we visit Emdoneni Wild Cat Project, which offers a very popular  guided tour about South Africa’s endangered wild cat species. At Emdoneni you will have the opportunity to see Cheetahs, Serval Cats, African Wildcats and Caracal (Lynx) up close and hear about the amazing work the project does to rehabilitate wild cats.

Relive the horror of the two most famous Anglo-Zulu War battles with a specialist Battlefield guide. Visit the eerie battlefield of Isandlwana, where British troops were massacred by the Zulu army in 1879, then continue to Rorke's Drift, where a handful of British soldiers heroically held a mighty Zulu regiment at bay, a battle made famous by the movie 'Zulu'. The tour winds through some of the most spectacularly beautiful scenery in KwaZulu-Natal. After a full day's touring, we return to Durban in the early evening.

Today is all about context, immersion and relevance. We will start where all things should, at the beginning. Meet the dancing curator of Phansi Museum who will introduce you to a vast collection of indigenous art and crafts before sampling Pan African Cuisine. Time to head to Isithumba — a living Zulu cultural village. A local resident will help you to explore the village on foot as you begin to understand a different way of life. If the ancestors are kind you may even meet the village chief or the local spiritual healer for an immersive exchange. The Markets of Warwick are our final stop. This curious quarter represents the beating heart of indigenous culture. Meet the Lime and Imphepho Gogos (female elders) and watch them create their goods before you witness the culture shock that is Muthi Bridge or as we like to call it — “Sangoma Central”. Unlock this mysterious place and get a feel for where the culture is heading.

Escape from civilisation, heighten your senses and increase your awe at the true splendour of Mother Nature’s canvas and palette.
