A rare afro-Alpine moorland, dense bamboo groves, and luxurious vegetation. wild animals , birds and reptiles, rosewood and heather zones, home to hundreds of buffaloes, elephants, bushbucks and a plethora of bird species. The most popular of all the routes that lead up to Mount Kenya. Fastest way up Mt Kenya and ascends the mountain from west. The route is particularly scenic but has some of the best views of Batian 5199 m and Nelion 5099m up the mountain.
