You will familiarize with the giraffes at the Giraffe Centre by learning all facts about giraffes and also enjoying feeding them by hands under the supervision of your guide. Also will get to learn the history about Bomas ok Kenya and the culture that it holds inside by interacting with different people from different cultures who are talented resident artistes perform traditional dances and songs taken from the country's various tribal groups, including Arab-influenced Swahili Taarab music, Kalenjin warrior dances, Embu drumming and Kikuyu circumcision ceremonies. Early Morning pick-up from your Nairobi area hotel or residence and commence the drive to Hell’s Gate National Park with stops at the scenic Rift valley view point.
Arrive at around 9 am and start of the biking tour for 2 hours. Hell’s Gate is one of Kenya’s smaller national parks, which can be explored on foot. This is followed by a bicycle ride amid gracefully grazing gazelles, larger antelopes, Zebras and Giraffe is a delightful experience.
Drive to Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp for lunch at 1 pm (own expenses)
At 2 pm, take a boat-ride to crescent Island Sanctuary for a unique walk with wildlife. The sanctuary is home for giraffes, water-bucks, elands, wildebeests, zebras, impalas and hippos among other wildlife one is likely to find at the conservancy. Birds include the fish eagles, ospreys, lily-trotters and many more.
Later at 5 pm, depart for Nairobi. You will be dropped off at you hotel/ area of residence/ airport.
The tour start by picking you from your Nairobi Hotel or Airport. Proceed to the Giraffe Center, the headquarter for the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife made famous by "Daisy Rothschild", a giraffe calf rescued from Soi, on the Western Kenya border. Daisy and her family form only a small part of a herd of these gentle giants, living in a semi wild state at Giraffe Manor. You will also learn their behaviours, traits and more conservation education. These animals will come to a protecting wall to be fed. Make the most of your visit when you go to the Giraffe Center nature trail up until the Gogo River. This is what most people don't get to see and it's a fascinating place to walk in the nature, with bushes on either side and birds giving the most wondrous songs. The trail will take about 1-hour going up and down in a relaxing pace. After the tour you will be dropped back to your hotel.
