The Steam Valley is a popular hiking route and it about 40 minutes driving from Reykjavik making this a perfect day trip. The hike itself makes you earn your their place in a totally natural geothermal spring that happens to be a low lying river! It is a relatively easy hike especially if you are an avid outdoors person and usually takes anywhere between 40-50 minutes.
