Our adventure begins at the private farm La Naciente, just minutes from La Fortuna downtown. Here, we’ll set off on muddy trails through the primary rainforest, all while enjoying breathtaking views of the majestic Arenal Volcano. We start with a safety briefing and a practice circuit to get comfortable with the ATVs. Then, we head out onto the crazy trails of La Naciente, driving through challenging paths surrounded by lush vegetation and local wildlife. Along the way, we stop at Quebrada Platanillo, a micro-basin of the Arenal River that supplies water to nearby communities. This is also where we can spot the impressive Watusi bulls, famous for their distinctive horns. From there, we continue along open trails, crossing natural puddles, until we reach the Rancho La Poza for a snack and some relaxation in its outdoor pool.

This tour starts with a walk through the Arenal Volcano rainforest which includes a visit to the old lava viewpoint (1968). Afterwards we will go to La Fortuna Waterfall where you can swim in an inviting pool at the base of the waterfall. Our goal is to create authentic travel experiences that value the traditional culture and ways of living in our country and contribute to the sustainability of our natural and social environment.

In the grandest canyon of the Balsa River, experience the excitement, serenity, joy and enchanting beauty of the Balsa River as it transforms this divine chasm and those who venture down it. As with every trip, there will be one stop for locally grown, organic fruits and another stop for an authentic Costa Rican Organic lunch.
