On this tour you will tour the Metropolitan Cathedral of Santiago and through extensive stairs, you will be able to climb the bell tower and then up to an incredible viewpoint, located at the top of the temple. From here, you will have the best view of the historic center of Santiago, with an incredible panoramic view of the Plaza de Armas and the buildings around it, such as the Municipality of Santiago, the Chilean Post Office, the National Historical Museum, among others. The history of the Metropolitan Cathedral dates back to 1745 when the construction of the current temple began, which is the fifth church built in this place, in front of the Plaza de Armas. We left Santiago at 9:30 to the amazing Valle de Colina Thermas, a true oasis in the heart of the Andes. We arrived around 11:30, taking advantage of the moment when the thermal pools are quieter for a relaxing bath in mineral-rich waters, surrounded by a stunning landscape. At 1 p.m., we prepare a delicious Chilean barbecue, with red meat, lingui and snacks. For those who prefer a vegetarian option, we offer a bowl of fresh vegetables, just let us know in advance! After this moment of rest and good food, we continue our journey to contemplate the majestic view of the Volcano San José. We also visited Las Melosas, an impressive geological formation, and ended the day at the charming Casa de Chocolate, a perfect spot to taste a candy and bring a special souvenir. We return to Santiago, arriving at the hotel around 19:00, after an unforgettable day exploring the wonders of the mountain.

The El Yeso Reservoir and the Termas de Colina are tourist destinations in the Andes Mountains. The reservoir is a water reserve, while the thermal baths are a complex of thermal water wells. The Gypsum Reservoir It is located in the commune of San José de Maipo, in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago. Trekking, mountaineering, recreational fishing, windsurfing, photography, among other activities are available. It is recommended to use sunblock and windbreak to protect yourself from the sun and wind. Hill Thermal Also known as the Hill Valley Baths, they are a popular tourist attraction of the Maipo Cajon. They consist of nine thermal water wells with temperatures between 25oC and 55oC. Waters have medicinal properties and are said to help with rheumatic ailments, skin diseases and stress. The waters come from the San Jose Volcano and are highly mineralized.

Enjoy this spectacular trip to “El Morado” Natural Monument National Park, located at 93 kms (57 miles) from Santiago.  The starting point of the hike is in Baños Morales, a mountain village at 1,900 meters of altitude (6,200 ft). The trail leads to the beautiful San Francisco Glacier lookout at 2,500 meters (8,200 ft) and the Morales Glacier lagoon. During the hike we will have a refreshing stop at “Aguas de Panimávida”, iron-rich carbonated waters that directly spills out from the earth. Difficulty level is HIGH. This tour is recommended for people in good physical shape. The first hour of the hike is steep and then it becomes flat. The difference of altitude is of 600 meters (1,900 ft).
