The tour combines a 3-4 hour walking tour of the city center of Tirana with a visit to the Dajti Express Cable Car.  In the morning, you will see the historical sights, such as Skanderbeg Square, the Clock Tower, the Et'hem Bey Mosque and the main government street. We will pass by the communist landmarks, like the Blloku Area, the house of the former dictator, the Bunk'Art 2 Museum and the Museum of Secret Surveillance. We also visit new attractions like the new food market and the Grand Park.  Then, in the afternoon you will take the cable car to Mount Dajti. From the cable car you look down on treetops, little farm houses, lakes and impressive mountain cliffs. Then, once you reach the mountain balcony, you will have a panoramic view of the entire city center of Tirana, the Adriatic Sea and the coastline.  During the tour, we will pass by all the most important museums and explain what there is to see inside. Please note, we will not enter all the museums, due to the limited time.

This is a day tour which will give you a good idea about Tirana city's history and culture and then a nice walk into nature to visit a special bats cave, 15 km east. For 3 hours we will wander in Tirana's main neighborhoods talking about its history from Romans, Ottomans, Communism time, and present. We will walk on the Main Square, Toptani area, Main Boulevard, and ex-Blloku. After that, we will head southeast towards Pellumbasi village to visit the cave located in that area, driving about 30 min. Once there we will take the path leading to the cave. The path passes along the Erzeni River with clear blue water during summertime and nice canyons. After walking for just about 1 hour we will see the entrance of the cave. We will get prepared to enter with head or hand lights, change the shoes if possible as it's very muddy inside, get an extra t-shirt, the temperature is colder than outside. Pellumbasi cave is of karstic origin and is about 150m long, 10-15m wide and 45m in height.

Closed to outsiders for much of the 20th century, Albania has long been Mediterranean Europe's enigma. Until fairly recently its rumpled mountains, fortress towns and sparkling beaches were merely a rumour on most travel maps. But, with the end of a particularly brutal strain of communism in 1991, Albania tentatively swung open its gates. The first curious tourists to arrive discovered a land where ancient codes of conduct still held sway and where the wind whistled through the shattered remnants of half-forgotten Ancient Greek and Roman sites. Quarter of a century after throwing off the shackles of communism, Albania's stunning mountain scenery, crumbling castles, boisterous capital and dreamy beaches rivalling any in the Mediterranean continue to enchant, but hurry here because as word gets out to what Albania is hiding, the still tiny trickle of tourists threatens to become a flood.

You have two choices for this transfer - you can either let your driver do all the hard work, or take the wheel yourselves! If you are interested to drive, no previous experience of driving off-road is necessary. The Suzuki Jimny is a very easy car to drive, and has an automatic transmission. Not to mention, you have your driver to remind you where the brakes are... Our standard route has the off-road drive in the morning, with the last stretch, after lunch, on smooth and scenic asphalt roads.
