The first historical point we’ll visit is the Castle of Berati located on 190 m high hill to the right of the Osumi River. Then, still inside the Fortress, we’ll visit the Iconographic Museum ‘’Onufri’’. The museum features on display 173 objects belonging to the found of Albanian Churches and monasteries as well as to Berat. Afterwards comes the Holy Trinity Church which is a medieval byzantine church inside the castle fortress, part of the UNESCO world heritage site. The adventure continues in the old quarter of Mangalem, which will send you back in time to the middle ages from the cobbled streets to the architectural peculiarities of the houses. Last but not least, we’ll visit the quarter of Gorica and we’ll get there by walking beside the Osumi River and getting at the Gorica Bridge, it’s one of the oldest and most famous Ottoman bridges. The bridge will lead us to the Gorica Castle and the Spyrodonit Church.

This is a tour that will show you the medieval and modern capital of Albania. Kruja town, is very nice and has the Turkish Style Bazaar, Ethnographic Museum and Skanderbeg Museum. We will have time for shopping in the Bazaar. We will visit the Ethnographic Museum to see how it was the way of living in the XVIII century. Happily spared (mostly) from both the "destroy the old, build the new" drive of the communists during the early years of their rule in Yugoslavia, as well as the ethnic and religious atrocities that plagued the Western Balkans in the last decade of the 20th century, Prizren has the best-preserved old town in the country so far, and is often referred to as the cultural capital of Kosovo.

Albania is black in  birds during specially winter and spring. You  will love to see how much in the wild you can jump just one hour fifteen minutes form a big city like Tirana. This is the land of the Eagle, let's not forget, although eagles won't be much at sight where we're going this time. It would be good we start early morning and be at the lagoons when the sun's not too high yet. That's the best to be done for birding. We'll be at different locations in  the lagoon and we'll see what we can get. The local rangers will provide us with a scope and eventually a binocular. On our side we can bring a big military one that was once used to watch out for the enemy (meant : you) but best is to have some good gear of yours.
