The Canoeing Trail operates above the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe on on the Zambezi River. This section of the river is quite unlike the better-known section below Lake Kariba. Here the Zambezi River is regarded as FREE FLOW as a dam does not control it, as such the water is subject to seasonal variation. Floods begin in January and normally peak in April / May. This changes the route as new channels open with the rise in water level. There are numerous islands, which are dissected by channels that may be several kilometres in length and vary in width from one to twenty metres. Rapids are small and at their peak are only classed as grade one, so easily manageable in the canoes we use. The Canoe Trail passes along the banks of the Zambezi National Park, where clients have a good chance of viewing various species of animals, such as Elephants, Buffalo, Impala, Kudu, Hippo, Crocodile etc. The birdlife is prolific with at least 50 common species of bird that can be seen from your canoe.

TRANSFERS Transfers are a highly personalized service that we provide to our clients. We do confirm most of our transfers with a minimum of one person or you may book per vehicle.We use air-conditioned transfer vehicles and also 4x4 open Jeeps. Our transfers are done by well-groomed drivers and guides. For small groups of less than six passengers, we use executive minibuses that have all the necessary modern accessories. This tour will help you explore the vast wilderness of the African Savannah with its unique wildlife. We are operators and just one of a very few companies that even offer this tour, because it takes a bit longer then the regular Safari to Zambezi National Park. After our short briefing, we will start our safari game drive where a wide variety of larger mammals may be found. Within the Chamabondo Park we encounter frequently elephants, lions, buffalos and leopards. In addition, herds of different antelopes and different smaller species of plains game can be viewed. However the park is not a fenced area as the animals are always on the move meaning to say its all about being at the right place, at the right time. It is not a Zoo. After an exciting drive, we will stop at a scenic and safe location for a refreshing break.
