This area includes neolithic sites, Roman remains, imposing Norman castles, industrial heritage, dramatic mountain scenery as well as beaches voted as some of the best in the world.The valleys have defined Wales with images of coal miners, rugby players, and male voice choirs. Since the demise of the coal industry the valleys have gone through some tough times but these resolute people still have a culture all of their own.

The area we will visit is dotted with quaint old towns and picturesque villages which seem untouched by time. The South West is the home of Pembrokeshire coast national park, and is an area renowned for the beauty of its beaches and coastline. An example of a tour could be a visit to the wonderfully preserved Norman Castle at Pembroke, then lunch in the beautiful medieval port of Tenby followed by a stop off in Laugharne, the former home of the poet Dylan Thomas.

It's a guided tour from Central Cardiff taking in both the industrial heritage of the valleys and the wonderful natural environment that is the Brecon Beacons. We get to visit a gorgeous castle too. We will visit spots with the most astounding views and many interesting features on our journey. You will travel in a modern and comfortable vehicle in the company of your driver guide. You will be able to spend time with the guide at each location, as they walk and talk about Wales, its history, and culture or you are free to self-explore to find unique locations for photos. We will return to Cardiff no later than 6 pm and likely a little earlier. A waterproof jacket is useful for this tour as are sturdy footwear as some walking on footpaths can be enjoyed although not integral to the tour.

This is the perfect tour for die-hard Doctor Who fans! Starting in the morning with the Doctor Who Walking Tour of Cardiff which takes in Cardiff's National Museum, City Centre, and Castle after a brief stop for lunch (where you will also be able to explore Cardiff Castle) we will then travel to the filming locations of Farringham Village, Leadworth, and Bad Wolf Bay before finishing in Cardiff Bay. Whilst exploring these filming locations you will uncover the history and importance of the filming locations that you are visiting, how these locations were used in various episodes, how filming was managed, and even some behind the scenes secrets! During the tour, we will visit the famous Bad Wolf Bay, which is approximately an hour's drive from Cardiff. Because of the tide, we will require some flexibility in the itinerary in order to travel to and from Bad Wolf Bay, but all our planned locations will be visited during the tour.

On our Wye Valley tour, you will have the freedom to spend as little or as much time as you wish at any of the locations. The only time restriction we will insist on adhering to is leaving Caerleon around 5:15pm to ensure the tour finishes around the planned time. We will provide you with an itinerary before the tour. The timings on this itinerary are purely there to be used as a guide for the day. Please Note: Chepstow Castle, Raglan Castle Tintern Abbey & Caerleon Roman Baths all have a cost for entry. However these are not included in the price of the tour. We have done this so you do not feel obligated to enter any of them if you do not wish too (although we do recommend it). On the day, you can enter all, or none of them as you see fit. If you want to enter any of them, simply pay on the door. All sites are run and operated by CADW and you may wish to consider purchasing a 3 Day Pass at Chepstow Castle, which will then give you free entry to all sites
