Private Buckskin Gulch Tour

44
There are as many metaphors to describe what locals call 'down in the Buckskin' as there are people who have been there. I choose the word 'in' because you are literally inside the walls of the world's longest slot canyon. According to the Bureau of Land Management ('BLM') website, Buckskin Gulch is 16 miles long (around 26 km) from the Buckskin Trailhead to the Paria Canyon and over 500 feet (around 150m) deep at its confluence with the Paria River. There are places in the Buckskin where you are able to touch both canyon walls at the same time. Buckskin Gulch is a photographer's and hiker's Mecca. Every corner you turn is changing continuously; the cliffs are water-and-wind-sculpted patterns of colors, light and shadows. You may also marvel and puzzle at the meanings of the rock writings (petroglyphs) from the early Archaic period (some are as old as 9,000 years). It was voted one the top 10 hikes in the world by National Geographic Adventure Magazine a few years back.

The Upper Antelope Canyon Tour. From here you will be driven in comfort aboard State of the Art 14 Passenger Vans equipped with Heaters and Air Conditioning. Your tour operator will then guide you through the canyon, showing you points of interest and helping you get the right shots. Our guides know all the hot spots and they will guide you through an amazing natural wonder of the Antelope Canyon. They will provide you with the secret knowledge of photographing the beams and dancing with the sand. We will have little chance to be alone in the canyon on this tour, nor will we be able to hear the quiet that some of the other tours provide, but this tour is a photographic extravaganza. We believe we have the best time starting at 10:30am to photograph the canyon. We get the early development of the light beams and stay until the beams start to lift off the canyon floor. Canyoneering Adventure Near Lake Powell

Blue Pools is a fantastic beginner canyon. There are 3 - 4 rappels and a scramble/ hike back to the car. The largest rappel is 55 feet. We aim for this trip to take 2 - 3 hrs depending on group size. All of our trips are private so you are not waiting on anyone besides your group. You will meet your guide at the trailhead, become outfitted with the appropriate canyon gear, and then your guide will lead you down this wonderful slot canyon. This canyon has primarily been sculpted through water erosion over time to give us an obstacle course to play in. The canyon is typically dry however can hold a little water after a storm.
