Our small group experience takes place in a big boat atmosphere! A maximum of 20 guests onboard allows our captain and crew the chance to focus on providing each guest with the very best experience. Maui Adventure Cruises Explorer Super Rafts Depart Lahaina Harbor Slip 11. We head across the Au’au Channel to the Island of Lana’i where Two (2) Snorkel sites are selected by our experienced Captain and Crew to provide the clearest and calmest ocean conditions. Dolphins are often encountered off the island (85% of trips) with lots of tropical fish, green sea turtles and occasional manta rays at the snorkel sites. Enjoy this 2-hour guided adventure in a high-speed catamaran to watch the whales in their natural habitat. Depending on the whales’ behavior during your whale watching trip, you may see the whales slapping the surface with pectoral fins (their very long side fins), flukes (the tail), the peduncle (the strong muscles attaching the tail to the rest of the body) and the breach, this is when the whale rises completely out of the water and crashes down again.
